6.15pm Quite an allround performance from Sri Lanka. Third highest total at this ground. A 60-run stand from the openers set the base. Karunaratne and Perera got 44 each. Mendis and Dhananjaya got fifties. In all, four batsmen motored along at a strike-rate of 100+. Three fifty-plus stands helped too. We'll be back in around 30 minutes for the chase. Dhananjaya: "Happy because I got a fifty after long time. Think I'm batting well from the Pakistan Test series. Good score on a slow wicket. Hasaranga is in good form, Sandakan too. If we bowl well in the Powerplay, we can defend it."

However completely agree with you - Dhananjaya fits the role ideally - more a classical ODI bat - who can be the aggressor when required as well. Also I feel DShanaka is competing for No 7, not 6, as he is quite a handy bowler as well."
