Scorer: Ranjith P | Commentator: Shashank Kishore
Thanks for joining us today. For now, it's goodbye from me, Shashank Kishore, and P Ranjith. Danyal's match bulletin should be up shortly. Lots more to come on ESPNcricinfo. See you then.
It's time for the presentations
Babar Azam is the Man of the Match for his unbeaten half-century.
"When you're in form, you should continue it," Babar says. "Credit for my captaincy goes to the players, the seniors and bowlers make it easy for me. The series win was much-needed, we played a lot of youngsters, the idea was to increase our talent pool to give us more options going into the World Cup. We will try to give players who haven't got a chance yet on Monday."
Mahmudullah: Disappointed to lose, didn't apply ourselves with the bat, except for Tamim. Should've scored 150-160. Intent was there, credit to Pakistan's bowlers. We didn't finish off well. Not sure yet how we'll go for the last game, maybe we'll try to play some reserves, but we need to come hard at them and win the game.
5.05pm If it was Malik yesterday, Hafeez comes up with the star-turn today. Pakistan's grand old men are far from finished yet, and if they continue to put up performances like these, they'll be hard to ignore when Misbah sits down to pick the squad for the T20 World Cup. As much as this was about their senior men, the youngsters were mighty impressive too. Hasnain and Rauf were clinical at the death, Shaheen excellent upfront.
Bangladesh's cricket-fanatic public deserves better. Unfortunately, the only noise from Bangladesh cricket has come from their board president, not the players yet. Another listless performance, on similar lines like yesterday, means they don't even challenge Pakistan. This is already proving to be a long tour, they've just been in Pakistan for three days.
Mahmudullah wasn't proactive enough early on, set defensive fields, the body language of the side in general was one of going through the motions. Lack of aggression, the bowlers were very poor in their lines and lengths. Babar and Hafeez didn't even need to get out of second and third gear. Both of them killed the bowling softly, without any real pressure being applied.
"Happy to get the opportunity and deliver for the team, won't really call it a comeback," says Mohammad Hafeez. "There is pressure, people expect a lot, once you wear the green, you have to live up to expectation of the fans, not so much the media. We missed a couple of opportunities in the last two series, but we're happy. Whoever comes into the team, they have the mindset of winning for Pakistan. I spoke to Malik, who is my best friend. He did well, so I thought i had to do something special too."
END OF OVER:16 | 16 Runs | PAK: 134/1 (3 runs required from 24 balls, RR: 8.37, RRR: 0.75)
- Babar Azam65 (43b)
- Mohammad Hafeez65 (46b)
- Afif Hossain1-0-16-0
- Al-Amin Hossain3-0-17-0
