Rumman: "Again BD showed their incompetence in planning the innings, The don't have a power hitter like Russell, so keeping wk and hoping to increase RR in death overs is not for them. They have to play constantly over the 20 overs and by now they should have understood that, but Alas!!!"

Ahmad: "Par score but if they can get babar azam quickly then it will be more interesting. "

Naveed: "Babar looking good in the captaincy role with his bowlers backing him up very well; good performance from Pakistans bowlers."

3:38pm Pakistan won't mind this target. It is the lowest first-innings score in a T20I at this ground. Not the easiest pitch for strokeplay, but there was never any urgency from Bangladesh. When they attempted it, they lost two set batsmen in consecutive deliveries. Two of the five wickets were also run out, which won't please them. Imad Wasim and Shaheen racked up the dot balls in the Poweprlay and Shadab was tidy towards the end of his spell. An impressive start for Rauf as well, although he was taken for a couple of boundaries at the end. The positive for Bangladesh is that this pitch won't change too much, since it is a day game. They will still have some of the dryness and slow nature that they encountered when batting. Can they make use of it?

1
Haris Rauf to Mahmudullah, 1 run, full toss on leg stump, whipped straight to deep square
19.5
4
Haris Rauf to Mahmudullah, FOUR, clears short third man and bounces into the boundary. Offcutter at 129kph, curves away outside off. Mahmudullah has a foot down leg side, his head looking in the midwicket direction, and a massive heave at this. Gets a thick outside edge
19.4
1
Haris Rauf to Mohammad Mithun, 1 run, short and wide outside off, mistimed cut to sweeper cover
19.3
4
Haris Rauf to Mohammad Mithun, FOUR, oh sweetly timed. Length ball just outside off, just gets leg side of it and times this cover drive to perfection. Well to the right of sweeper cover. That slid on nicely to the bat
19.2
1
Haris Rauf to Mahmudullah, 1 run, slower ball, short of a length at off stump. Looks to slog but forced to drag it to deep square as he can't keep his timing

Muhammad Awais: "Why was Soumya sent in at 6? He is a touch player and great exponent of powerplay overs, no wonder he found it difficult in death overs."

2
Haris Rauf to Mahmudullah, 2 runs, length outside off, gets behind the line and looks to slog. Comes off the inside half and down to long-on

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Mohammad Mithun, no run, yorker length just outside off, beaten as he looks to chop this behind square on the off side

W
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Soumya Sarkar, OUT, hits leg stump. Completely deceived Soumya with an offcutter. Length and at middle stump. He backs into the leg side and shapes to drag this in the square leg direction. But he is through the shot woefully early. Completely outdone

Soumya Sarkar b Shaheen Shah Afridi 7 (5b 1x4 0x6) SR: 140.00

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Mahmudullah, 1 leg bye, length on leg stump, looks to whip behind square, deflected to the keeper off the pad

1
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Soumya Sarkar, 1 run, yorker length at off stump, jammed to backward point
18.2
1lb
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Mahmudullah, 1 leg bye, appeal for lbw but that might have pitched just outside leg stump. Full one, shuffles and looks to flick, caught right in front of the stumps. Pakistan have reviewed. That definitely looks like it pitched outside the line. Decision will stand

1
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Soumya Sarkar, 1 run, full and wide outside off. Driven to extra cover firmly. Takes the chance with the run, gives it up, but survives as he doesn't get a direct hit

17.5
4
Haris Rauf to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR, good batting. Holds his shape, stays behind the line and uses the pace of this length ball to tuck it past short fine. Poor ball too, length and on the pads
17.4
W
Haris Rauf to Afif Hossain, OUT, slams middle stump! First international wicket for Rauf and it is trademark. 144kph length ball at middle stump. Afif does the mistake of heaving across this. It is way too quick to be doing that with his front leg in the leg side. Slides into the stumps

Afif Hossain b Haris Rauf 9 (10b 0x4 0x6) SR: 90.00

Naveed: "Those two wickets in a row would be hurting Bangladesh right about this moment, both batsmen were quite settled"

1
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Afif Hossain, 1 run, low full toss, slower ball it appears outside off. Gets down for the ramp but there's no pace on that. Just a feeble bunt towards deep square in the end
