9.37am The umpires heading out to the middle. The Zimbabwean team not far behind them

Lewin Zoe : "In Asia 2017, Sri Lanka chased 391 in 114.5 overs @3.4/over Today, Sri Lanka need 361 in 96 overs 3.7/over for victory"

"SL now have 2.1 overs + whatever the no of overs we going to lose tonight less to survive!" exults Ishan

Arsalan: "Did he just waste 2 overs of innings for his own fifty?" --- I don't think getting to fifty was a priority. He needed to bat on, in order to employ the heavy roller. It could be a gamble, though, as the heavy roller sometimes can also work to roll the cracks together a bit. But he's done his bit, and now it's over to his bowlers. He might feature prominently too, as we learn on commentary that he's fit enough to bowl in this innings.

Andy: "Looking from Switzerland and hoping that ZIM will take the deserved win home. I'm an absolute fan of SA, but they lose all the time. It's a shame."

9.31am So one ball on, Sri Lanka will need 361 to win. Zimbabwe need 10 wickets. As of now, there's ample time for them, with a minimum of 96 overs to be bowled.

Lakmal to Williams, SIX, what a way to bring up fifty! And he's declared immediately. Full ball, on the leg side, and he flicks this over long leg, and promptly starts walking off after acknowledging the applause

9.29am Sri Lanka take the field first, followed by overnight batsmen Williams and Tiripano. Reckon this will only last for a few balls. Lakmal has three slips in place. Viljeon reckons it could be the last of this innings...

Bruce Grapes : "Following from Durban, South Africa. Also hoping for early wickets in the first hour or so. Our boys have done well to give us fans something to smile about. Go Zim Go."

Tino Mawoyo and Dirk Viljoen speak on the broadcast with the pitch report. Viljoen writes off a Sri Lanka victory, but worries about both the rain and the amount of time Zimbabwe have to force a win. Mawoyo suggests this pitch will take spin, and the Zimbabweans need to get spin on early to bowl as many overs as possible. Viljoen reckons 100-102 overs should be fine. Zimbabwe have declared already, according to Viljoen. There are scuff marks on a fuller length, as you would expect on a Day 5 pitch. There are the odd balls that keep low, but the turn has been slow, says Viljoen. Viljoen now confirms that Zimbabwe have NOT declared, though. It may have been a ploy to use the heavy roller before they bat again for a short while.

Tonderai Maduve: "So i am at work about 3 blocks away from harare sports club, i am wishing a win for the chevrons hopefully they will declare first thing "

Mr Pickwick: "From Australia, Pickwick. Expecting something of a mini-collapse from SL, and if the weather holds off (which it likely won't) then I think a Zim win very much on the cards."

Tafadzwah: "I'm Zimbabwean in Cape Town and i think must risk it all. They must bat t20 style the first hour, get target to 400 and declare. declare declare declare. Every business has a risk" --- You think 355 (the target at present) may not be enough?

"Abhishek Jha From Delhi, India. Following quite closely this series and hoping for a full match. Supporting Zimbabwe" --- Yes, Abhishek. I won't be surprised even if a few Sri Lankan fans are quite happy to root for Zim this game. Getting a full day's play in will be the key, though

Albert Scholtz: "Following from South Africa. Really want Zimmies to do well today, hope for some quick wickets this morning. We need at least one African nation to win a test this month...."

9.10am So where are you joining in from? And what result are you expecting this to end in? Just fire away...

8.55am It's Day 5 of the second Test between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. We've lost some time in this game to the elements, but if we get a full day's play in, there's every chance of a result in this game. We hear that it is bright and sunny in Harare at the moment, though there is some precipitation expected later on in the afternoon. A draw would probably be the most likely outcome, but there are good chances for Zimbabwe, and perhaps even Lanka, to go for the win. I'm Debayan Sen, and Hemant Brar will be joining me today on commentary. In case you missed the action on Day 4, here's Madushka Balasuriya's report.

5.00pm Looks like officially, it's stumps now. And we have an early start tomorrow as well. Play will start at 9:30am, 98 overs to be bowled in the day. So, that's all for today. See you.

4:37pm The umpires are having a chat with the groundsmen. And stumps. So more than 90 minutes lost in the last session. To add to the big portion we lost in the middle of the day. A total of 54 overs bowled today. In that time, Zimbabwe made decent pace - 179 runs added to stretch their lead to 354. Brendan Taylor and Sean Williams at the fore again, scoring quickly through the middle after some quick wickets fell in the first session. The big talking point, of course, is how much time they've lost because of rain and bad light. Many arguments for declaring at tea, but it is a mere few overs we;ve had in the last session in any case. An overnight declaration looks almost certain now. The pitch has stayed low at times and occasionally Embuldeniya found bounce. For the most part, doesn't look too menacing. But then, that was the case headed into the fiftyh day during the first Test too. Can Zimbabwe pick up early wickets and put the visitors under pressure in the morning? A series loss is on the line. Thank you for staying with us, we'll be back in the morning. 4:22pm Covers are coming on. More rain has arrived.

4:12pm They're going off. Bad light. Remember play ended after bad light and drizzle yesterday too. Slim chance of us having more play today. However, sunset is scheduled for 6:36pm today.
