Phoenix took wickets up front and then again at the death, meaning their target is only fractionally above a run a ball; but runs on the board can exert a strange kind of pressure in knockout scenarios (and no Shafali Verma to kickstart the chase, either). Here is Kapp with the verdict at halfway: "It was really tough to bat on. If we bowl well we should have a chance to defend it.
