Scorer: K Vairavan | Commentator: Vithushan Ehantharajah

9:02pm That's all from us here. A pretty forgettable game, all told, on a tacky wicket. But the 2025 men's Hundred is up and running! See you all tomorrow

8:59pm Invincible skipper Sam Billings: "It was pretty clinical. All the bowlers stepped up. Thankfully we kept taking wickets which is always the best thing in short-form cricket. Wrist spin in this format of the game is such a key, especially through the middle overs.

"I was surprised once they lost a couple of wickets they didn't try and just get to 130 or 140. I was surprised about how hard they just kept on going. Sometimes you just need a bit of batsmanship."

8:52pm: Liam Dawson's 2 for 9 from his 20 balls aside, London Spirits attack weren't quite up to snuff on that deck. There batters, of course, deserve most of the ire.

The Meerkat Match Hero is Rashid Khan for his 3 for 11 in his first match for his new side: "It was nice to get the start with the win and to perform for the team was amazing. It was a good start for me. I've been off from the game these past two months but it's good to back."

On the reason for his break after the IPL: "Physicaly and mentally to get ready for the next competition. That really helped me and I'm quite happy with the rhythm today."

Wood to Ferreira, SIX, Wins it with a six! Slower ball sits up and Ferreira piles into that one over long on! Emphatic finish from the South African, with a bit of brute strength. A pretty rubbish opening game of the men's competition but the two-time champions Oval Invincibles have their three-peat campaign up and running...
