Oh no, the players are already shaking hands. Match ends in deadlock. What a swift end to a frustrating day of the Men's Hundred. The action was short-lived, and there's hardly any time left to get back on the field. Quite an anticlimactic end to what was hyped as a high-voltage affair but the rain had the final say. Superchargers move to third and Welsh Fire are now at 6th position, it will be difficult for Fire to sneak into the top four after this soggy affair
Openers are stepping out and vigorously loosening their shoulders. Bairstow seems adamant about finishing it off in 10 balls, maybe? You don't get these situations too often. Some smoke is getting in Topley's eyes, and there you go--waited too long, and it has started to rain again. Umpires are having a chat, but the players haven't left yet
END OF OVER:5 | 8 Runs | NSC-M: 26/5 | RR: 5.20
- Graham Clark1 (2b)
- Ollie Robinson8 (6b)
- Haris Rauf1.5-0-9-2
- Haris Rauf1.5-0-9-2
That looks subpar; it's almost a run-a-ball required, which should be a walk in the park. However, remember that the ball is doing a lot, and there's plenty happening for the bowlers if they land in the right areas. They could have definitely posted more on the board, but that's all they get in this rain-truncated affair. Effective ploy from Haris to take off the pace and strangle the batters, who were swinging the bat all over the place with no luck. The pace attack made the most of the conditions and they were all switched on from ball one. Let's see how the second half goes. We'll be back shortly and hope it resumes quickly before the heavens open again
