Commentator: Alan Gardner
8.45pm: Well, that's a drubbing for last year's beaten finalists. Phil Salt gets a tough introduction to captaincy, standing in for the absent Jos Buttler - his future in the competition still TBD - as Welsh Fire make it double-header delight, after the slightly harder-won success for the women earlier
David Willey is the Match Hero: "We wanted to start well, talked about setting the tone. We got a nice start. Some balls have swung in practice, some haven't. Having a left-armer do that is always dangerous. We want to do our strengths well, the backroom staff have put a good squad together and the bowlers are gelling nicely. Last year was great fun, my most-enjoyable Hundred. The staff have put together a great squad, we enjoy each other's company on and off the field. [Rauf] He's a world-class bowler, great to have him here with us. Nice to contribute tonight."
Okay, that's a wrap for tonight. Old Trafford served up a couple of low-scorers, but in neither case was it to the home side's advantage. Tomorrow, we head on to Leeds and the coaching debut of Andrew Flintoff, as Northern Superchargers host Trent Rockets. Do join us for that. Bye-bye!
"Looks like we're going 2-for-2 on low scoring hammerings to begin the tournament." It's what the shop window is all about, Pete
Currie again. This will be the final set...

"Do they get a 'free hit' after a no-ball in The100?" They do, Jamie Dow. Certainly on front-foot no-balls
