7.50pm What an odd finale. Spirit looked likely to be stranded for 130-plus but a key stand between Overton and Higgins found welcome late traction. TCurran and Sowter were the pick of the bowlers with two apiece. It's a target, but Invincibles will believe they can hunt it down.

Sowter: "Nice wicket, hopefully we can chase it down. Trying to concentrate, being ball by ball, Tom [Moody] is direct with me, hit the stumps... glad it's working for me. Billings knows my game inside out. Very confident. Give yourself a chance at the Oval and you can catch up quickly."

Odinlass : "Phew. That took so long. Plus I heard them say that the Oval Station isn't operational today." I can't confirm TFL's plans today, but it is a Bank Holiday, so engineering works are inevitable!

Andrew Evans: "Remember what things were like way back at the beginning of that last set? We were all so young and full of life. Now I'm old and jaded."

TK Curran to Dawson, FOUR, a huge wipe across the full length, high out to midwicket, where Ferreira drops the ball into the boundary! Didn't actually get a hand on it. Whoops

TK Curran to Higgins, 1 wide, OUT, tries to reach the wide line, can't connect, but both batters end up at the same end, as Curran whips off the bails. Dawson gets himself on strike, thinking he was running regardless for the last ball of the innings ... or not, as his team-mate failed to realise what he was up to... well this is a tedious delay. Endless replays to decide that Higgins did actually leave his crease, so he is the one to go

TK Curran to Higgins, FOUR, crunchy launch, up and over wide long-off! Steps into the length ball and nails it

Invincibles are not rushing to the break

TK Curran to Dawson, 1 run, sticks in the pitch, Dawson's pull comes off the stickers and dribbles to mid-on

Dawson on strike with three to come

TK Curran to Overton, OUT, steps into the length, gets too far underneath it! Overton was targetting the straight boundary, but TC's lack of pace did for him... Cox picked it up in the end, and pouched it safely as he trotted in from long-off
