7.50pm What an odd finale. Spirit looked likely to be stranded for 130-plus but a key stand between Overton and Higgins found welcome late traction. TCurran and Sowter were the pick of the bowlers with two apiece. It's a target, but Invincibles will believe they can hunt it down.

Sowter: "Nice wicket, hopefully we can chase it down. Trying to concentrate, being ball by ball, Tom [Moody] is direct with me, hit the stumps... glad it's working for me. Billings knows my game inside out. Very confident. Give yourself a chance at the Oval and you can catch up quickly."

Odinlass : "Phew. That took so long. Plus I heard them say that the Oval Station isn't operational today." I can't confirm TFL's plans today, but it is a Bank Holiday, so engineering works are inevitable!
