8:40pm Right, that's all she wrote. Catch you all tomorrow for the second round of the London Derby between Invincibles and Spirit!

8:35pm Birmingham Phoenix skipper Liam Livingstone, who plays his county cricket at Emirates Old Trafford, is not happy with tonight's surface, despite finishing on the winning side:

"It's a bit disappointing to be honest. When you look at the two teams on paper, the fans coming to watch are excited for the players batting out there, and the high pace on both sides.

"To play the four games on the same pitch, I'm not sure there would have been too many people in here who enjoyed watching that game of cricket. It was disappointing as a spectacle I think.

"I want to go out there and entertain kids. And I want people to come to grounds and like what they see in the middle. I don't think many people would have come in and enjoyed watching that game here today."

8:30pm No doubt about it, that might be the worst match of the tournament so far. Nothing on it because Trent Rockets had sewn up the final spot in the top three a few hours earlier, on a very tired surface. Joe Clarke is the Meerkat Match Hero, by the way, for his engaging 40 off 21 up top in Phoenix's pursuit of their 110 target. "I feel in good rhythm and good confidence. The pitch has been used a few times, so it was on the slower side. It helped having Ben at the other end who could knock it around and run hard."

Baker to Duckett, no run, "Oh my word" yelps Duckett as a short delivery zips threw off a length, only 85mph on the clock but that looked a heck of a lot more. Duckett certainly thought so
