8.40pm: All over, with Topley not fit to bat. That's a terrible night for the Brave and a bad one for the competition too: if the Rockets win in tomorrow afternoon's game in Cardiff then qualification will be locked in with five group games still to go. Impressive performance from the Spirit but, like the Brave, they are relying on the Rockets losing both of their last two games. Smith set the tone, Williamson took the baton, and Gleeson and Dawson led the defence. Roy and Evans the only Brave batters to get going.

Tonight's result also means that Northern Superchargers and Oval Invincibles are officially through to the knockout stages.
