7:50 pm The Rockets will be pleased with how the innings concluded, even though they were looking strong towards the 200 run mark. Joe Root's innings got off to a nervy start, with early seam movement and bounce creating a few edges. He survived an early scare when a potential LBW dismissal was overturned due to a no-ball. Root capitalized on his second life, finding his rhythm and striking some beautiful shots to give the Rockets an explosive start and their highest-ever Powerplay score. The opening partnership was finally broken when Rashid Khan trapped Banton LBW. Root continued to build his score, reaching his second half-century in the Hundred Cricket. Rashid Khan and Nathan Sowter restricted the boundaries in the middle overs after the Powerplay. Sowter took a spectacular catch off his own bowling to dismiss the dangerous Rehan Ahmed. Root's outstanding knock of 76 from 41 balls came to an end on the very last ball of Rashid Khan's spell--a perfect delivery that bowled him out. A late, explosive cameo from Linde, who scored 25 runs off just 8 deliveries, gave the Rockets a crucial boost later in the innings. This stellar performance resulted in the Rockets' highest-ever total, tied for the fifth-highest score of the season. The wickets were shared among the bowlers, with Rashid Khan and Tom Curran each taking two, and Sowter and Behrendorff picking up one apiece.
