9:26pm With that result, Originals now drop to bottom of the group. They've got a lot of questions, particularly around their misfiring overseas batters. Can Welsh Fire use this as a springboard? We'll find out soon enough. For now, cheers for your company. Join us tomorrow for London Spirit against Trent rockets.

9:24pm Yep, here he is! Chris Green, Meerkat Match Hero:

"The last two games have been an amazing atmosphere. We came close to a miracle win last time in Cardiff and it was great to reward their support with the win tonight."

[ON THEIR 137 FOR 8] The message got back (during the first innings) from Tom Abell that he thought 140 was defendable. We bowled well, took early wickets. I thought Riley Meredith was outstanding up front and I think he should be standing here. Any time you can have someone bowling high 80s, it puts that element of fear in the batter's minds. I'm very glad he's on my team and I don't have to face him.

[FIRST WIN] It's huge. Tonight was closer to a polished performance. I think we've got a good blueprint to be successful here. The vibe among this group is great, we'll keep having fun and enjoying our cricket.

9:22pm Bear in mind Chris Green also struck an important 19 from 9 at the end of Fire's innings to take them to 137 for 8, along with two important grabs. Meerkat honours incoming, surely...

Meredith to Baker, OUT, That's all she wrote! Yorker into the base of middle stump, stumps akimbo, Meredith wins it and finishes with 4 for 9 from 17 deliveries, the best figures of the season so far. Brilliant from him, brilliant from Chris Green. The Aussies have come up trumps for the Welsh. And David Payne, of course. Originals will feel they've botched it but Fire dug deep to claim their first win of the campaign
