9:02pm That's all from us here. A pretty forgettable game, all told, on a tacky wicket. But the 2025 men's Hundred is up and running! See you all tomorrow

8:59pm Invincible skipper Sam Billings: "It was pretty clinical. All the bowlers stepped up. Thankfully we kept taking wickets which is always the best thing in short-form cricket. Wrist spin in this format of the game is such a key, especially through the middle overs.

"I was surprised once they lost a couple of wickets they didn't try and just get to 130 or 140. I was surprised about how hard they just kept on going. Sometimes you just need a bit of batsmanship."

8:52pm: Liam Dawson's 2 for 9 from his 20 balls aside, London Spirits attack weren't quite up to snuff on that deck. There batters, of course, deserve most of the ire.

The Meerkat Match Hero is Rashid Khan for his 3 for 11 in his first match for his new side: "It was nice to get the start with the win and to perform for the team was amazing. It was a good start for me. I've been off from the game these past two months but it's good to back."

On the reason for his break after the IPL: "Physicaly and mentally to get ready for the next competition. That really helped me and I'm quite happy with the rhythm today."

Wood to Ferreira, SIX, Wins it with a six! Slower ball sits up and Ferreira piles into that one over long on! Emphatic finish from the South African, with a bit of brute strength. A pretty rubbish opening game of the men's competition but the two-time champions Oval Invincibles have their three-peat campaign up and running...

South Africa's Donovan Ferreira is the new batter. Turner over the wicket now

Turner to SM Curran, OUT, And there Sam Curran goes! Horrid looking shot, swiping across the line to a length ball, but the bounce was very low there. Eeesh

1
Worrall to SM Curran, 1 run, Short, pulled by Curran but kept down. That it went in front of square shows the slow nature of this pitch, but well-watched by the left-hander

Worrall around the wicket

1
Worrall to Billings, 1 run, Almost two in two! Billings hits a full ball in the air just beyond the dive of Keaton Jennings at cover, flying to his right. Single taken to wide mid off

Surely not? Invincibles captain Sam Billings is the new man

11.3
W
Worrall to Cox, OUT, Bowled him! Full, straight, Cox tries to ramp - did he need to? - and middle stump is taken out of the ground. It's a shot Cox plays well, but not on that occasion!

Worrall to SM Curran, 1 run, Into the pitch, Curran pulls across to deep midwicket

Wood to Jacks, 1 run, Into the pads, but nipping away a touch off the pitch. Jacks is almost squared up, but gets enough bat on the ball to find a single down the ground, albeit one where he has to dive to make. The throw from an onrushing mid off is very wide
