7.30pm Well, I for one welcome my new overlords, the Eighty-One. Sam Billings marshalls his pace and spin options magnificently to put the defending champions on course for a statement win. Amir and Mahmood were magnificent at the top, Jacks, Sowter and Zampa did the needful through the middle. Rishi Patel offered some grit, Benny Howell some substance. But it was a bit meh.

Mahmood: "Nice to get a pole early and work into a spell. Don't want to try too much, set attacking fields, they made mistakes, paid off for us. Nice to be this side of the rope and not commentating. Strong shots, not scoreboard pressure ... yeah..."

Yeah indeed. Alan will be here for the chase imminently.

Zampa to Helm, OUT, another skidder, thuds the pads! When Zampa is straight, he is so straight. Full, hustling, doesn't turn at all but arrives on the shin before the batter is remotely ready. Phoenix are one away from an early bath!

TG Helm lbw b Zampa 1 (2m 4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 25.00

Zampa to Milne, OUT, that's just plumb! Wicket to wicket, it's the googly too, so it's not only plumb, but doubly so as the ball slides from off to middle. Milne is on his bike, and so are Phoenix!

AF Milne lbw b Zampa 0 (1m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Jan: "Just noticed, BP and OI' logos look so much similar to a Four followed by a Wicket in ESPNcricinfo's UI! Haha"

Zampa to Patel, OUT, gives it the charge, wider line does for Patel! Zampa speared it out wider with a bit of turn, Billings gets a bit lucky as the ball bobbles out of his gloves but straight onto the stumps. Phoenix in chronic danger of being bowled out now
