9.28pm So, that's your lot. Brave versus Originals will be repeated on Saturday, with Oval Invincibles awaiting in the final. See you there! From Miller and Vairavan, good night!

Devon Conway is the Match Hero: "Thrilled to get to the play-offs. The rain helped the ball skid on, fortunate that happened, I made sure I batted through the innings and built partnerships. Finn set the tone in the first few balls. it wasn't horizontal rain so it wasn't affecting the eyes, but they were slipping a bit in the field. We created partnerships and the runs flowed, good momentum for [the Eliminator] against the same opposition, looking forward to it."

9.22pm So that's an emphatic way to vault into the top three. Southern Brave overhaul Welsh Fire in third spot, and they've laid down a marker against these same opponents, Manchester Originals, who they'll be meeting in the play-off on Saturday evening. It was, in fairness, an unequal contest given the rain that affected the chase, but credit to James Vince for bowling first after winning the toss, despite picking a spin-laden attack. He rightly figured the dry deck would suit his bowlers before the rain came, and that was the case. Originals never got a chance to get a grip, literally, with Devon Conway's priceless 54 from 40 sealing the deal.

Donald Alexande: "Another great knock to Devon Conway, Pride of New Zealand. Could have been Pride of South Africa. No matter, we'll take 'im. The only mystery is why would-be Springboks don't try to become All Blacks."

Turner to Conway, 1 run, reverse sweep, dragged from outside leg to backward square. Scores are level

2
Turner to Conway, 2 runs, chipped in the air, one hand comes off the bat, but it eludes short extra. Two more
18.2
4
Turner to Conway, FOUR, toe-ended pull! The placement is perfect, straight through long-on, to bring up his fifty. Nearly there

1
Zaman Khan to Ackermann, 1 run, width, bashed down to deep third. Zaman's spell is done. He's done his best in tough conditions
17.4
4
Zaman Khan to Ackermann, FOUR, dipping on the full length, deflects to the boundary! After all that, Ackermann somehow gets to a run a ball for an over that he barely saw! There is a review for lbw, but this is deeply hopeful... in fact there's bat involved so four to the batter after all
17.4
1w
Zaman Khan to Ackermann, 1 wide, oops, that barely hit the cut strip! Probably should be a no-ball actually
17.3
0
Zaman Khan to Ackermann, no run, three dots! Full length, skidding off the damp deck, past a flailing drive/hack
17.2
0
Zaman Khan to Ackermann, no run, skids under another expansive wipe! Wide of off, through Ackermann before he can react
17.1
0
Zaman Khan to Ackermann, no run, beaten outside off! A few more of those will help! Full, fast, beats a wafty cut. Zaman thought there was a nick, but nope

Zaman is back for his final burst. Ackermann on strike, who didn't pick his angles particularly well when he first came to the crease

Harrison to Ackermann, 1 run, definitely zips onto the bat from a fuller length, poked to backward point

Right, Originals have got their ball change. Last gasp for Fire's qualification hopes. Can Originals strike with the harder replacement before the dampness sets in again? Harrison has the ball
