Matthew Short says he had a lot of fun in his first hit. Says it's nice to have the sun out and they can defend the score. Says the team has welcomed him well and the games here go on fast. Says they should go through given the quality of their bowlers.

4:12pm: Perfect finish for Superchargers. They had two top-tier performances from Short and Brook, whose big-hitting was immaculate. Banton managed to hit his way past a slow start. Brave put down two catches which were key misses. They were short on bowling with Jordan out injured. Going in with a batter extra cost them as Superchargers took down du Plooy and David. Fuller got some tap at the end. Rehan was great, Overton was good. Overall, the batting side will be the happier one.
