6.17pm: Match abandoned. The teams take a point each. Phoenix's second washout of the season, while Rockets have three points out of a possible four. Thanks for joining us throughout the day, and sorry we couldn't bring you more cricket!
6.15pm: The umpires are out in the middle with Andy Flower and Dan Vettori, the two coaches. This doesn't look promising.
6pm: The umpires are out there having a look. And now have their umbrellas up, since it's drizzling again.
5.35pm: Sky now suggest the drizzle has stopped. Charles Dagnall doesn't sound at all confident about the prospects of play tonight. The super-soppers are in operation.
5.30pm: Sky Sports' coverage has just cut to Edgbaston, where it has started drizzling again. Robert Croft says some streets in Birmingham were flooded overnight. There are plenty of people on the concourses, sheltering from the weather.
Further inspection at 6pm. Edgbaston say: "The rain has stopped and the groundstaff are working hard to remove the standing water and get the ground ready for play."
The ECB add: The latest start time for a 25-ball per side match would be 8.16pm.
5.10pm: Evening all. It's been a frustrating, rainy Saturday across the country and so far we've had two total wash-outs and one no-result in the Hundred. Will tonight's game at Edgbaston deliver an outright winner?
