- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR20.1 got him, Jamieson's made the breakthrough! As was the case so often when India toured New Zealand last year, it's the full ball from the big man. Full, angling into the corridor from wide of the crease, and swinging away late. Rohit gets on the front foot and plays a half-defensive, half-attacking shot at it, and gets a thick edge that third slip grabs in both hands after a dive low to his right. Rohit leaned over the ball without getting a big stride out, and just hung his bat out at the ball 62/124.3 gone! Wagner's only taken three balls to make a massive impact. Lovely length, slanting across into the corridor, and Gill, having seen two balls come into him, is drawn into a defensive push. The ball doesn't swing as much as he expects, and kisses the outside edge through to Watling 63/240.2 swinging back in, hit on the pads - given! And Pujara won't be reviewing! He talks it through with Kohli before turning for the dressing rooms. Was there a double noise? Looked like it hit both pads on the replay. Boult gets into the contest with his second ball back, a pump of the fist and NZ have chipped out a big brick in the India wall there. Hitting the top of leg stump, according to Hawk-Eye 88/367.4 nip-backer and Kohli's been ripped out! Looked pretty adjacent, unless he got some bat on it... Not sure even he is convinced, but he calls for a review as the timer hits 0, hoping against hope for a reprieve. But it won't be coming! Jamieson finds the perfect length from that skyscraping frame, seaming late and full enough to hit the top of leg. H-U-G-E moment in this Test 149/478.4 and Rahane immediately swats one to the fielder! Short again, and this one is straighter in line, at the body. Rahane doesn't commit fully to the pull, ends up playing a short-arm jab that he ends up spooning straight to the man at square leg, who's just a few yards to the left of the square leg umpire. What a way to end what has been an excellent innings 182/673.4 slashed hard and taken at second slip! Pant's off, and NZ are wrestling this one right back! Full length and going away with the angle, Pant could no longer resist and threw the hands - the ball flew off the edge, but Latham gobbled it up. Jamieson clambering all over India this morning 156/592.1 gloved down the leg side, given! New Zealand wrap up the innings with three in four balls, and that really has taken the wind out of India's sails. Short ball on the hip, Jadeja attempts to flick it away, just gets a brush of glove on to his trouser pocket and Watling takes a tumbling catch 217/1085.5 got him. A useful little innings, but a little one in the end. Fullish outswinger outside off, asking Ashwin to drive, and Ashwin goes for it. Doesn't get his weight fully forward, and sends a thick edge flying towards Latham at second slip. Sharp catch, taken above his head while falling backwards 205/791.4 beauty! Jamieson has four, India eight down. Ishant has been clinging on, but finally the fingertips give way... Delectable line from Jamieson, albeit a better batter would have left it well alone. Swing and bounce, clips the shoulder of the bat, and Taylor snaffles it at first slip 213/891.5 gottim first ball, Jamieson bags his five-for! Perfect delivery to a tailender, hooping in-ducker and up goes the finger! Actually might have been worth a look to see if it was doing too much - but Bumrah is heading off, and he looks a little bamboozled. Not quite yorker length, struck him low in front of leg stump. Demolishing leg, according to ball-tracking 213/9Extras5 (lb 3, nb 2)TOTAL217 all out (92.1 Overs, RR: 2.35)Fall of wickets: 1-62 (Rohit Sharma, 20.1 ov), 2-63 (Shubman Gill, 24.3 ov), 3-88 (Cheteshwar Pujara, 40.2 ov), 4-149 (Virat Kohli, 67.4 ov), 5-156 (Rishabh Pant, 73.4 ov), 6-182 (Ajinkya Rahane, 78.4 ov), 7-205 (Ravichandran Ashwin, 85.5 ov), 8-213 (Ishant Sharma, 91.4 ov), 9-213 (Jasprit Bumrah, 91.5 ov), 10-217 (Ravindra Jadeja, 92.1 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR34.2 gone, and as is so often the case, Ashwin gives India their breakthrough! Latham reaches out to drive a flighted ball outside off, and he's beaten in the air by either a change of pace or by dip or by both. Ends up scooping it in the air, and short extra-cover takes a sharp catch over his head. Kohli had to jump and grab it at full stretch 70/148.4 full now, angling into the stumps, and Conway flicks it up to mid-on! This was the shot that took him to his century on debut a couple of weeks ago, but this ball straightens after angling into him, and he catches it with the outside half of the bat, slicing it to the left of mid-on, where Shami moves quickly to take an excellent catch 101/293.6 Ishant gets Kane! Edged straight to second slip, standing wide! On the brink of becoming only the second man to score a fifty in this match, Williamson falls, caught by his opposite number. Kohli roars, he's back on the scent. He had stationed himself pretty much at third slip, Sharma tempted a shot away from the body, and Williamson picked him out 221/863.1 gets him driving, swallowed in the covers! Superbly taken by Gill, launching himself forward to take the ball low to his right - and India have their wicket! Jubilation for India, Kohli comes roaring up. Shami is the man, getting it full and demanding a stroke. Taylor actually connected pretty well but he wasn't over the top of his shot and Gill did the rest 117/369.3 curving away, clips the edge - and taken! Ishant strikes in his first over back, and India again reap the rewards for their diligent lines. This was just full enough to get Nicholls feeling for it, arcing to kiss the outside edge, and well held again - this time by Rohit going across to his right from second slip! India dragging this back their way 134/470.2 bowled 'im! A beauty from Shami! Full enough, catches him cold, darts past the outside edge and smashes into the top of middle and off! India are landing their punches now, oh yes! Beautifully straight seam and it nips away, no footwork from Watling, done like a kipper 135/582.1 given! Superb bowling from Shami, and he trapped CdG on the crease there. He consults with Williamson and decides not to review Richard Illingworth's decision. Goes wider on the crease, gets this to come back into de Grandhomme, who plays back to a length ball and ends up defending a long way outside the line. Hit on the back pad, and it looked very out. Could height have saved de Grandhomme? We'll have to wait for ball-tracking to see. Nah, he just played back when he shouldn't have. Umpire's call on impact (just in line with off stump), but it was crashing into the stumps there. Nipped back off the seam, so no time for the batter to adjust 162/686.6 bounces him again, top-edged and taken at long leg! Bumrah steadies himself and holds in a yard or so in front of the rope. The counterattack is over, fourth wicket of the innings for Shami. He's taken a bit of tap, but gets his man 192/799.2 bowled him, deflected off the pads on to leg stump! Jadeja cleans up after himself, fired in as Southee tries to make room and ends up playing on from deep in the crease. So New Zealand's lead is 32, and India will be back out to bat again shortly 249/1096.3 taken at the second attempt at slip! Turn from an off-stump line and it zips off the shoulder of the bat, Rahane could only palm it up initially, but then settled safely under it on the way down. Ashwin pockets a second, job almost done for India 234/9Extras26 (b 4, lb 16, nb 6)TOTAL249 all out (99.2 Overs, RR: 2.5)Fall of wickets: 1-70 (Tom Latham, 34.2 ov), 2-101 (Devon Conway, 48.4 ov), 3-117 (Ross Taylor, 63.1 ov), 4-134 (Henry Nicholls, 69.3 ov), 5-135 (BJ Watling, 70.2 ov), 6-162 (Colin de Grandhomme, 82.1 ov), 7-192 (Kyle Jamieson, 86.6 ov), 8-221 (Kane Williamson, 93.6 ov), 9-234 (Neil Wagner, 96.3 ov), 10-249 (Tim Southee, 99.2 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR26.5 What have you done, Rohit?? Pinned lbw playing no stroke! Southee's straight-onner does it again, India two down and NZ licking their lips as the light fades... Four outswingers in a row followed by
the wobble seam, or three-quarter ballone with the shiny side flipped around, and it raps Rohit on the back pad, bat nowhere in the picture. Michael Gough gives it without too much hesitation, and there's no review. Big wicket, late in the day 51/210.4 big appeal for lbw as Gill plays around his front pad while flicking, and Michael Gough has no hesitation in giving it out. Gill consults with Rohit, and does not review. Superb bowling from Southee. Got this to move back into Gill, off the pitch, from a fullish length, and GIll's head falls across to the off side while looking to flick. Not much of a front-foot stride, even though he may have been batting outside his crease. May have been the three-quarter-seam ball, and all those outswingers that came before led Gill to play outside the line of this one 24/137.3 the big man is turning this Test and very quickly! It's that nagging line and length outside off, Pujara is perhaps expecting a nip-backer just like off the previous two deliveries, and hangs his bat out. This one holds its line, takes the edge and Taylor takes an excellent catch moving low to his left at first slip. 72/435.5 got him! That is a massive wicket. Twice in this game now that Kohli fallen to his RCB teammate. Jamieson hits the deck hard and gets this to lift off the deck, Kohli pushes at this away from the body as he rises with the bounce but is done in by the late away movement and Watling gobbles that up comfortably. 71/349.6 back of a length, just outside leg, and Rahane will be livid with himself here. He has an instinctive little flick at the ball, and only gets enough bat on it to send it into Watling's gloves behind the wicket. It's one of those shots where you can get careless as a batter - it was just a touch outside the line of his body, so he couldn't control it and play a proper leg glance 109/569.2 outstanding catch by Nicholls running back from point! Pant's bizarre innings comes to an end. He steps out to whack this to London (over mid-on) but ends up slicing it as the bat face turns. Nicholls calls for it loud and clear and runs back, steadies himself, then takes a couple of steps back again, and hangs on as it descends. Thought I heard someone from the stands yelp something on the lines of 'drop! drop!' and Nicholls looks in that direction and signals 'I've taken it'. Big moment in the match. 156/762.5 got him! Kept banging it in short, kept having him swaying or ducking. Finally angles one away, this one doesn't bounce as high so Jadeja thinks maybe here's a chance to tap into into the off side for a single but ends up nicking it to Watling. Wagner deserves that. 142/669.4 gone. Boult slants one wide of off stump and asks Ashwin to have a drive at it. Throws an angled bat at the ball and only manages an edge to Taylor at a wide first slip. This innings could come to a quick conclusion here 156/872.2 and the ball drops straight into that fielder's hands. Full, a bit of swing away from off stump, and Shami's attempted slog over mid-on ends up as a thick edge that balloons straight to that fly slip. Positioned to perfection, he barely had to move there 170/972.6 gone, Southee finishes it off in classic fashion. Full, angling in towards off stump and snaking away late, just before it pitches. Bumrah plays for the angle, looking to defend into the on side, and gets opened up and edges to second slip, where Latham takes it in front of his chest while falling to his left 170/10Extras11 (b 1, lb 8, nb 1, w 1)TOTAL170 all out (73 Overs, RR: 2.32)Fall of wickets: 1-24 (Shubman Gill, 10.4 ov), 2-51 (Rohit Sharma, 26.5 ov), 3-71 (Virat Kohli, 35.5 ov), 4-72 (Cheteshwar Pujara, 37.3 ov), 5-109 (Ajinkya Rahane, 49.6 ov), 6-142 (Ravindra Jadeja, 62.5 ov), 7-156 (Rishabh Pant, 69.2 ov), 8-156 (Ravichandran Ashwin, 69.4 ov), 9-170 (Mohammed Shami, 72.2 ov), 10-170 (Jasprit Bumrah, 72.6 ov)Bowling O M R W Econ WD NB TG Southee 19 4 48 4 2.52 0 0 TA Boult 15 2 39 3 2.60 0 0 KA Jamieson 24 10 30 2 1.25 1 1 N Wagner 15 2 44 1 2.93 0 0
- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR13.3 there's the big wicket. That should reinvigorate India. Lathn goes down the pitch to hoick it to the leg side but is beaten both in the air and off the pitch and Pant does the rest. 33/117.2 big appeal and given! No hesitation this time from Michael Gough. Conway has a chat with Williamson, seems to indicate he didn't get any bat. Williamson says don't bother. Good call, because that seemed plumb. Ashwin gets this to curve in and skid straight through to beat the inside edge and hit him plumb in front of middle.
