Stubbs and Bavuma walk out. Pant gives a talk to the Indian huddle. And we are ready to start after Lunch. Jadeja will start off the session with the ball.

hippu: "@Rupesh... in that case, the next two wickets are around the corner. "

2pm Bumrah looks like he is set for a spell. Bavuma is pouring some water over himself to cool down.

Vijay: "First time in my life, a test match in India matched lunch break with my actual lunch time"

Rupesh: "All batting scores on 30s, balls played in 80s. Very consistent SR from all SouthAfrican batters !!"

1.55pm The resumption is almost upon us. South Africa have kept India toiling through the day with two stubborn partnerships - first between Markram and Rickelton and then Bavuma and Stubbs. Pant is already being challenged tactically upon Test captaincy debut. The third session should be fun.

1:24pm A very good session for South Africa with Bavuma and Stubbs going strong. They have batted calmly, and have largely been untroubled. They have seen off challenging spells of fast bowling from Bumrah and Siraj. They countered whatever the spin trio of Kuldeep, Washington and Jadeja had to bowl at them. They got together when India struck twice in four balls. Bumrah and Kuldeep dismissed the openers either side of tea but never since then did they get an opening. Bavuma continued his fine run-scoring form from the last Test, with Stubbs, reinstated at No. 3 again, giving him company. India have 40 minutes to look back at the play so far and think of ways to dismiss the pair. They were disciplined yet had just one wicket to show from the session. Will they manage to claw back in the final segment? We'll find out in a bit.
