4:46pm West Indies' resistance lasted 73.2 overs and they have done very well to get close to Australia's total, especially having been reduced to 174-7 at one stage. Alzarri and Shamar then took up the mantle, building on the hard work King had put in earlier in a 75-run knock, and ensured WI made it past the 250-run mark. In an ideal world, they would have wanted more. But it could have been much lesser as well.
Australia will be decently pleased with their efforts. The pitch offered some help but it was not as much as yesterday, meaning that the visitors had to toil and hold their discipline for long stretches. A 33-run lead is not match-winning at this stage, but could be crucial, especially if this pitch breaks up. Lyon was their most successful bowler, with the others chipping in, and now, it is over to their batters to drive home this advantage. We will be back shortly for Australia's second innings.

Australia will be frustrated by this resistance. This partnership has only yielded 15 runs so far, but this pair have batted out more than ten overs. And that could possibly leave Australia susceptible to a tricky batting period before stumps, with not much of a lead to bank upon
