12.28pm Almost a three hour first session which has belonged to Noman Ali who became the first Pakistan spinner to bag a Test hat-trick. But West Indies have done brilliantly to reach 163 courtesy of some stunning lower order defiance. Electing to bat, West Indies were in dire straits at 38 for 7 with Noman running them ragged. That turned into 54 for 8 and an early end to the innings was on the cards. But, the last two wickets added 109 runs between them to bail out West Indies. Gudakesh Motie notched up his maiden Test fifty and was well supported by Kemar Roach (25) and Jomel Warrican (36*). Pakistan missed reviewing an lbw decision off Motie when he was on 18.
