5.20pm That is stumps on day three in Bengaluru. After being skittled for 46 - their lowest total at home and third lowest overall - on Thursday, India have found a way to stay in the contest, reducing the deficit to 125 by stumps on day three. Kohli and Sarfaraz made counterattacking fifties and looked set to go to stumps unbeaten...until Phillips intervened, striking with the last ball of the day to claim the prize scalp of Kohli for 70. Sid Monga's report will tell you the full story of the day. That's all we have for you today. Do come back tomorrow for more action. Until then, take care and cheers.

Ravindra speaks to the host broadcaster: I guess I was just trying to build partnerships and the partnership with Timmy [Tim Southee] really helped me out. It's a really good wicket out there. Yes, it's comforting though the wicket is different and nice playing in this ground (on playing in Bengaluru). It's great [to have my father and family around] and always appreciate the support from the Bangalore crowd. It was huge and Virat is a great player and we still have runs on the board. We know that things happen quickly in this part of the world.

Kuldeep: "Good work from Kohli and Sarfaraz, but India are not out of woods yet, by any stretch of imagination."

Matthew: "Phillips! GP! What a wicket to snare off the last ball! Them gloves didn't help Kohli."

Krits: "Such is the beauty of test cricket!! Can't wait for tomorrow. The ebb and flow, perfectly poised and the tension and anticipation, the unexpected, no other format or sport comes even close. No matter who wins, so far it has been a cracking match and both the teams should be proud of themselves."

Eshwar: "Glenn Philips reminds me of Kumble! Not much turn. But uses angles, trajectory and the depth of the crease to ask the same question in different ways!"

Fahad: "Even after Kohli gone, I still believe India is in a good position to set NZ a score of between 150 to 200 to chase in the fourth innings, which they wont be able to get, and it all eventually ends with India winning by 60~70 runs. "

Nish: "Rohit's wicket could be vital as he was in the mood and scoring quick too! Another 20 overs of him around would have added vital runs! Interesting still and session 1 tomorrow is key for India's fortunes! "

Sasikanth: "India needs to get 2 more partnerships and we're in with a chance! With Rahul, Jadeja and Ashwin to come along with Rishabh, I hope they can put NZ on the back foot! If they do that, I am fine even if we are on the wrong side of the result."

Phillips to Kohli, OUT, GP takes out Kohli off the last ball! GP was celebrating even before the umpire gave it out. Kohli, however, suggests that he didn't nick it and has called for a review of Gough's on-field out decision. The ball seems very close to the outside edge. Yes, it has shaved the outside edge. UltraEdge detects a spike. Kohli has to go. GP can continue the celebrations. What a play. After having got the ball to turn into the right-hander, GP challenges the outside edge with a quick non-turner at 101ks and finds some bounce. Kohli pokes at it and edges it behind to the keeper
