India have wrapped things up and will have nine overs to bat tonight. What is that total worth from Australia? We'll have to wait a while for a proper judgement, but it's something to bowl at. This late spell certainly fits into the 'tricky little session' for India's top order. Two fine innings for Australia - Usman Khawaja and Peter Handscomb - but they may yet regret losing back-to-back wickets. India's bowling wasn't quite as good as Nagpur, but Ashwin and Shami were both excellent and Jadeja chipped in. India's innings will start shortly.

From CA: David Warner is not feeling 100 percent and will not field this afternoon

Mohammed Shami to Kuhnemann, OUT, and that's that (this time)...back of a length from round the wicket, spears through Kuhnemann's prod and into the top of leg stump. Four for Shami

Jadeja to Handscomb, 1 run, and now he keeps the strike as he punches into the off side wide of cover. How important could that left-off be if this remains a relatively low-scoring game?

Jadeja to Handscomb, FOUR, and he rubs it in! Brings out the slog sweep, sends it out to deep square leg

Jadeja to Handscomb, 1 no ball, comes down the pitch and carves in the air to cover...but it's a no-ball!. Some of the players had nearly left the field. Back they come. He does bowl too many of them. This is actually a very tight call. Jadeja not happy

Cat-and-mouse cricket continues. Field comes in again

Krishy: "What's so funky about the England declaration? They were 9 down anyway ans wanted to make use of the best bowling conditions with the pink ball.... nothing funky about that. Just think people are overly obsessed with ben stokes." No problem with this view. Still think it was smart. Not sure how many other sides would have done it or, perhaps more importantly, already have had 325 on the board

Anjan: "Time to declare and bowl a few overs?"
