3.22pm Oh, hello! Pat Cummins is waving his hands and Australia have declared with a lead of 386. And, that will be tea as well on day 3. Think it was that bouncer that hit Starc which called about the declaration from Cummins. A session that belonged wholly to Alex Carey, who notched up his maiden Test century, the first Australian wicket-keeper batter to get one since 2013. He saw South Africa pick up three early wickets and decided to fight fire with fire. There were cuts, drives and pulls, but not once did he seem troubled. He was ably supported by Cameron Green, who brought up a half-century of his own, despite batting with a fractured index finger. Carey fell for 111 but not before ensuring Australia's lead swelled past 350. Starc hit a six but a blow to his helmet via a Jansen bouncer brought about a declaration. South Africa have a huge task up their sleeve. Can they find a way back in this Test and series? Join Andrew McGlashan in a bit to find out.

Nathan : "Why no tea break?" A bit delayed as we started 15 minutes late

Jansen to Starc, no run, Pinged on the helmet! Jansen drops in a bouncer again, Starc looks for a pull, does not connect and is hit flush on the helmet. The necessary concussion tests will follow. A new helmet comes out as well for Starc.
