Madushka will step in for the start of Australia's second innings. Australia are 190 behind and probably have to bat 4 and a half sessions to save the game.

1.26pm Innings break Sri Lanka all out for 554. It's their highest team score against Australia underpinned by the highest individual score by a Sri Lankan against Australia. Dinesh Chandimal finishes on 206 not out. It was a brilliant innings. He batted beautifully with the tail. He added 68 with Ramesh Mendis and 49 with Rajitha who did not score. Australia will rue the not out caught behind decision when Chandimal was on 30. They had already burnt their reviews and it cost them dearly. Starc bowled well to bag four but copped some tap late. Swepson picks up three and both might have been underbowled.

Chris Thurston: "181 overs, oof. Is the honeymoon finally over for Cummins? This feels like a good reality check for Australia's plan Asia. Some important questions being asked in this match, and it's shaping to be a character test to see if Australia can battle for the draw."

Swepson to Rajitha, OUT, plumb lbw! Rajitha reviews but this looked dead. Wrong un, pitching on off, and spinning in, it beat the inside edge by miles as he played for the leg break, it hit the back leg infront of middle and ball tracking had it smashing leg
