Mohit: "Sri Lanka were in a similar position in the Premadasa Test against India in 1997. We all know what happened next!" -- We need no reminding.
Sumon: "Baffled by BD's approach really. If they had a declaration before lunch in mind, why didn't they start slogging a lot earlier? The way Mushi batted, it seemed they were planning to bat into the second session as well!"
11.17am Wow. Bangladesh have declared! That came out of the blue, Mominul emerging from the dressing room and gesturing to his batsmen to come back. Just over half an hour of batting for Sri Lanka to do before lunch. Bangladesh have scored 67 runs in 18 overs today, for the loss of three wickets.
The new ball has certainly done a bit for Sri Lanka's fast bowlers today, and Bangladesh will hope it will stay that way when they bowl. There's a little more turn today too than we'd seen earlier, and Bangladesh have two experienced spinners in Taijul and Mehidy.

United_Em: "That Mehidy wicket doesn't happen without Dickwella. He sold the umpire a dummy the first time. He made his captain burn a review the 2nd time (possibly frustrating Mehidy too). And got em on the third!" -- He's definitely in that class of player who "makes things happen".

Lakmal is good to go again.
George Macpherson: "Bangladesh have allowed Sri Lanka back into the game with those two quick wickets. It's now up to the tailenders to put some runs on the board to get the total to around 550."
Lakmal seems to have landed awkwardly on his left foot there and now has his shoe and sock off while the physio runs in to check it. They take drinks, meanwhile.
