Haris Izhar: "Oh. No Nortje... 6 for, meaning another Kolpak.... " -- Nope, Kolpaks are no more as of January 1, 2021 (since the UK has now ended its transition period with the European Union) so even if he signs a deal as an overseas player in county cricket, he'll still be eligible for South Africa.
2.07pm: Well, that was fun while it lasted. Sri Lanka were always up against it with such a depleted line-up in this Test, but from 71 for 1 four overs before lunch, this has been quite a dramatic collapse. Mulder sparked it, and Nortje has ripped through the lower order after Hasaranga and Chameera's brief resistance. Kusal Perera's shot-a-minute 60 was the only score of note, and a total of 157 all out is unlikely to prove particularly useful, even on a pitch offering plenty for the fast bowlers. Nine of the ten dismissals were caught by the keeper or in the cordon, suggesting that Sri Lanka could have been much more watchful outside off stump.

Rudi: "Two batsmen wasting a review after a nick. Did they really not know or is it desperation?" -- I think Bavuma's dismissal in the first Test settled the argument: batsmen don't always know whether they've nicked it
