That's it for the day. It was a cracking day of Test cricket, with momentum ebbing and flowing. The batsmen dominating at times, with the bowlers coming back in strongly. On occasion the spin reigned supreme, at others, express pace was more lethal. Defensive batting won the first session, while Rizwan's counter-punching and Yasir's insouciance did Pakistan much good too.

Enjoyable day to start the series, and Australia come out fresh tomorrow. I can't wait, and I look forward to joining you guys. From us for today, goodbye!

Starc to Naseem Shah, OUT, and that's it. Naseem's spirited, brief resistance comes to an end. Caught on the crease, Naseem got a top edge that went straight up, allowing Starc to get underneath it and pouch the simplest of catches.

Pakistan all out for 240

Saad: "Australians are desperately trying not to get the last wicket, so they don't have to bat a couple of overs." They won't have to bat now, anyway

Cummins to Imran Khan, no run, dropped! Imran finally gets an edge on one that had been due a few overs. No foot movement at all, and fourth slip appeared to be taken by surprise. The dive to the left came against the body weight of Labuschagne, and in the end he snatched at it.

Right, so can Pakistan get to 250? Can they survive the day?
