6.46 pm: So India end with 296 for 7. Not as many as they would have expected when Rahul and Pandey were batting, but more than they would have expected when they lost three wickets in the first 12.1 overs. A decent little stand of 16 runs in the last 10 balls between Jadeja and Saini to help India finish well. Bennett's 4/64 were the best figures for New Zealand and that 47th over he bowled could yet turn out to be crucial. He got both Rahul and Pandey, after having a catch dropped first ball. Magnificent innings from Rahul though, who has gone from strength to strength on this tour. Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey both played good supporting hands. Do India have enough? It's not an intimidating total, but it is one that will require New Zealand to bat well. Join us shortly for the chase.
