9.42pm That was good entertainment whether you're an Indian fan or NZ. Rahul was in top form today but New Zealand did a great job of picking regular wickets, especially because of the spinners. Santner first grabbed two good catches, including Kohli's Sodhi then spun the ball both ways and used his pace well to pick three and NZ were well on top then. But Manish Pandey has shown why he deserves more chances: kept his cool with many singles and doubles, led the tail and ran extremely hard till the very last ball to take India to a challenging score. New Zealand's quicks couldn't quite keep up the pressure at the end. Shashank will begin the chase soon...
Kiran : "Seems indian team management is being un fair to Manish Pandey. Shivam dube head of Pandey never a fair call"
"Pandey played very well but Dhoni could have easily added another 10-15 runs here.. specially in the penultimate over when Saini waisted 3 deliveries. If Pandey had played that over, score could have been different." Perspective from Vikas
Hemal: "Only 3 fours in his 50 Pandey and still scored at the strike rate of 138, Pandey made it clear that he is a good middle order for one day and T20. "
Sunil Chhimpa: "Pandey has patiently waited for his chance and finally has made a point for team management keep relying on him."
