England started like a train, continued like a train wreck, but then steadied themselves as they first applied the air-brakes in the middle overs, before giving it the long handle towards the latter stages. Shamsi the star with the ball, but Joe Denly takes the plaudits for an excellently judged 87. He's given his team a very good chance of going 1-0 up on a deck that won't be easy for strokemaking, especially as the lights kick in. Back in 30 for the resumption.
