5.45pm So, that wraps up a notable series win, and an eventful South African summer! They've won in style at the fifth series of asking, after four losses and a draw against England and Australia in the T20Is, and they will fly to India next week in high spirits. Thanks for all the comments and feedback, Firdose's report is ready and waiting here, but from myself and Alan, and Thilak the scorer, goodnight and see you next time!

And now, here's Quinton de Kock, South Africa's captain: "I'm very proud of the boys, we played very well in this series. A bit of consistency, for them to be as consistent as they were, congratulations to the guys. My captaincy debut has been busy but the guys helped me out a lot, not too much on my shoulders. We didn't start the summer the best of ways, but this series win reminded us we can compete against the best in the world, the guys wanted to go better and it's been great. Bringing in new guys is maybe what we needed, they've shown what they can do at this level, but we'll take nothing for granted."

Heinrich Klaasen is Player of the Series: "It;s been a fantastic couple of weeks for me, I had to change my mindset in international cricket, I looked to play freely and it seemed to work, I have to keep it going. Hopefully I can cement a spot, we'll see what happens in India. I've learned the hard way you can't take runs for granted."

Jon-Jon Smuts is Player of the Match! "I wouldn't say comfortable, this was an outstanding team performance, to restrict them to 250-odd was a terrific performance. We've stuck to our plans, and Quinton and Janneman laid a great platform, but we've got to keep our feet on the ground."

5.36pm Time for some presentations. First up, here's Aaron Finch: "We haven't been at our best no doubt, credit to SA they put us under pressure with bat and ball, we've got to get better whether here or at home, we've got to do the basics for longer, they are a predictable side and sometimes that's good in one-day cricket. For myself, Davy and Steve not to get a big score hangs on us, but we only took 12 wickets for the series."

On the NZ series, "it's a quick turnaround, a few tired boys, but we're playing cricket for Australia, what else would you do?"

5.29pm Jacques: "Smuts took 2 wickets as well, so must be mom." It's a very fair case to make. All will be revealed shortly.

5.25pm Well, that was comprehensive. Handshakes all round as South Africa ease home with 27 balls to spare. That is a mauling, in spite of Marnus Labuschagne's maiden century. But his innings, superb though it was, was a repair job after a tremendous opening gambit from South Africa's seamers, Anrich Nortje in particular. That was where the match was won and lost ... I wonder if the Man of the Match will reflect that? Jon-Jon Smuts has a strong case too!
