4.15pm Looks like Ireland have let Afghanistan off the hook and that's been the story of the series. Had them tottering at 50 for four, but instead of consciously looking for wickets at that stage, on a pitch offering their spinners plenty of assistance, they let the game drift, by setting routine fields and weren't helped by regular fielding blemishes either. The usual suspects, Asghar Afghan, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan rescued Afghanistan again, with Asghar and Nabi adding 76 for the 5th wicket, before a final flourish from the captain and Rashid took them past 200, with as many as fifty coming off the last four. Asghar struggled with his shoulder for most part, was helped by dropped chances but fought his way through to top score with 82. He walked off the field clutching his hamstring three balls into the 50th over. However, the momentum is well and truly with Afghanistan. Back with the chase soon.
