5.20 pm Virat Kohli looks bushed! He's been out in the middle for almost the entire innings and through the course of it, he became the fastest man to 10,000 ODI runs, beating Sachin Tendulkar's record by an insane 54 innings. This year, he averages nearly 150! And that is basically the score he's made today. So it's all par for the course - the only thing is this course is devilishly difficult and there haven't been many who have navigated it with the skill the Indian captain has. Through all of that, India have managed 321 for 6, which is a pretty good total on a slow pitch, but it isn't unbeatable. Certainly not for West Indies, who showed in the first ODI that they have the batsmen to score big hundreds.

"It was important situation to build a partnership today. Happy to get some runs, but I missed out on a hundred," Ambati Rayudu, who scored 73, says. "It was a golden opportunity for me. Hopefully I'll be able to do it next time. [Batting at No. 4] All my life I've batted in the middle order, so I'm used to it. The challenge is keeping the score ticking. [IPL experience] It was a great platform and thanks to Dhoni at CSK, who helped me bat higher up, and yeah, I'm happy with the way everything is going. Kohli and I were very relaxed. For him to bat that way on that pitch - I don't think its a 321 pitch - he was on another level"

dez: "Yet another India game dominated by Kohli mania... Can we look at this in the context of the game? If not for Kohli India would have had a sub par total - as it is it's only just par and Kohli's brilliance is simply masking the failure of the rest of the batsmen."

Ankit: "People are considering everything except the level of fitness Kohli has now. I am not sure Sachin or any other great except Ponting would be able to make run with such intensity."

Giridhar Murali: "Well Sachin has more than 7600 runs and 23 centuries against SL, BAN, WI, ZIM, KEN, BER, NL, NAM, UAE, IRE while Kohli has around 4900 runs and 18 centuries against AFG, BAN, IRE, NL, SL, UAE, WI and ZIM. Not sure if they are too different. I wouldn't necessarily categorize SL, BAN and WI with the others even though their fortunes have been up and down. Also, given the changes in rules, instead of comparing plain numbers across generations, impact & contribution to wins need to be assessed."

Roach to Mohammed Shami, no run, beats him with a wide yorker and that's the end of the innings.

Roach to Kohli, 1 run, full and outside off, he slaps it over the covers

6
Roach to Kohli, SIX, launches it over long-on! There's a fielder there but to Kohli he may as well be a hologram. Makes the ball soar over his outstretched right hand

Roach to Kohli, 2 runs, wide yorker, which Kohli slices to deep point and immediately looks for two. He's running on empty but he wants the strike back. He wants more runs. For himself and for India. Puts in the dive to beat the throw from the deep and stays there for a good three seconds, taking deep breaths, before he comes up and celebrates 150

Roach to Kohli, FOUR, scoops a ball two feet wide of off stump and finds the boundary at fine leg. Yep. Physics don't apply to Kohli now.
