Deepak: "Pant needs the backing nevertheless. Dhoni was not any better behind stumps when started. Pant is merely 20 and must be groomed and given a longer run. He is an exciting talent to watch out for. Who knows we ll have another Gilly in making !!"
USABrad: "As a new cricket fan, I'm appalled by the frequency of injuries for a non-contact sport. Most seem to be self-inflicted reflecting very poor fitness and a low capacity for self-preservation. Players are forever pulling muscles and hamstrings, falling over themselves awkwardly, diving without proper technique, twisting ankles. And most injuries seem to take place while practicing. "
Tarana: "The likes of Pant and Shaw are the future on Indian cricket, and if we give up on them because of a few silly mistakes, don't you think we're taking these calls too soon?"
Rohit Ramanatha: "Once again the last wickets have scored 100+ runs, of which 50+ runs given by the non-strike bowlers. Bring on the strike bowlers to remove the last 4. Strike bowlers pick up 4 for less than 40 runs, makes sense to bring the strike bowlers early."
10:47am India have enforced the follow-on. A 468-run lead practically yells at you to enforce the follow-on. And with 48 overs bowled with a big rest in the middle, it was coming. Much better batting from West Indies today. Keemo Paul went after Kuldeep, who had trouble with consistency. A couple of sweeps early on threw him off his game. Chase capitalised at the other end too, driving freely and handsomely to get his first fifty in nine innings. But Keemo was set up by Umesh, Chase was undone by Ashwin, and there was little resistance from the rest of the lower order.

Krazy_me: "Is Pant's keeping raw? For all the goodness that his batting carry if his keeping is flawed then a team like Australia won't be sparing if they get a reprieve even if it's the lower order.." --- Yes it's fair to say it's raw. He's still very young in red-ball cricket. The closest contender is KS Bharat, who is a little more experienced.

Avijeet: "Changing the conversation, do you guys think India should take Pant as the specialist WK, when he looks so green. Or should they pick Saha, assuming he'll be fit by then" --- It is unlikely Saha will be fit by the Australia tour.
