Hasher Sheikh: "All eyes on Fakhar now! Comeo on Champs!"

Abdul Basith M: "The depth in Pakistan's batting with so many allrounders might help Pakistan win this match. "

Andy C: "How much will NZ rue the loss of Williamson to what is surely an easily avoidable dismissal: whilst relatively uncommon, doesn't this mode of run out - bowler tipping on to stumps leaving non-striker stranded - happen with sufficient regularity that when backing-up, the non-striker should be coached to trail his bat in the crease and not take it beyond until he's seen where the ball has been hit?"

MahaSach: "Rossco faced only 22 balls in the last 10 overs! Too bad a tactic to score single in the first ball of the over, or to allow the non-striker to score a single in the last ball."

Amir Javid : "For two matches in a row now, the best bowler for Pakistan (Shaheen Shah Afridi) doesn't complete his 10 overs?"

6:28pm Pakistan won't feel too bad about this total. It hasn't been easy batting, but 209 after losing the toss is a good effort. If recent ODIs in this venue are anything to go by, New Zealand are 20-30 runs below par. Taylor went about the rescue act as he usually does, setting up to stay in till the end, but he could not accelerate the way he wanted to. He's unbeaten on 86 off 120. The batsmen around him, particularly the lower-order hitters, couldn't get New Zealand's momentum going. And that was because they were completely choked by the three spinners, before Afridi returned to finish a tidy spell. Those early wickets have made quite a difference at the end. Back for the chase soon.

Hasan Ali to Taylor, 1 run, walks at it again and meets it on the full. But his whip off the pads goes straight to deep square

MikeB: "Taylor has only faced 8 of the last 30 balls. I think this will cost the Kiwis dearly."
