8.30 pm Australia's openers set up the launchpad with a fifty partnership. But then Krunal Pandya, who was hit for 12 in his first over, rallied well to finish with four wickets, the best figures by a spinner in a T20I in Australia. At that point, with the spinners going well, it seemed like Australia would struggle to put up a score, and they were also hiding Chris Lynn down the order, perhaps to prevent him from facing Kuldeep and Krunal. It was all very frenetic once the innings hit the halfway mark and it was frenetic in the end as well with Alex Carey and Marcus Stoinis managing to get 57 runs in the last five overs. Decent score, but by no means a daunting one. Alex will be with you for the chase.
Meanwhile, in the Pro Kabaddi League, pre-tournament favourites Bengal Warriors are in danger of missing out on the playoffs because of their shaky defence. Read more here
Muhammed Riyas: "457. Time and time again teams are missing the trick in T20s. Lynn should have batted at the top at any cost considering his ability to hit the balls out of the park. Biggest players should not be saved to the end in shortest format, instead teams have to make the most of them by exposing them at top. I have seen similar approach from Mumbai Indians by saving Pollard for the slog overs, and fails almost 7 out of 10 times."
Dhiju : "No 6s in Austrilian Innings, still managed to put in a decent total."
