8.3 Hamid strikes next ball! Short of a length ball on off stump, Imam goes to pull, faint bottom edge dragged on. He was looking sharp but Hamid gets Afghanistan's first breakthrough. 47/1
11.3 BEATEN THROUGH THE GATE! Nabi flights this one on off. Fakhar was playing for turn that wasn't there. The ball goes inside his attempted drive, knocks back off stump. Nabi makes sure the drop by Zazai in his previous over doesn't prove too costly. 63/2
45.5 Babar holes out! Dawlat went with a back of the hand slower ball short on the legs, but not really short enough. The ball sat up for Babar to hammer it over square leg but he mistimes it, doesn't get the desired elevation. Rahmat runs to his left from deep backward square to take the catch. 246/7
12 Double-strike in the over by The President! This one was back of a length. Whereas Fakhar was beaten inside the line of a straight ball, Haris plays well inside the line as Nabi gets it to turn sharply. The ball clips the off stump bail. Haris can't believe it and stands his ground initially before the third umpire confirms it was indeed bowled. Afghanistan roaring back behind the first-change pair of Hamid and Nabi. 65/3
20.1 falls to a full toss! Rashid doesn't even have to be genius to pick up a wicket. He's actually coming off second best in this sequence. Bested by Hafeez, who comes down the track and does so only after the bowler has released the ball. That means Rashid can't do anything about it but just watch as his bad ball gets thwacked. But the problem is Hafeez doesn't thwack it. He doesn't enough enough behind it and long-off runs to his right and takes it very nicely 100/4
37.5 The President strikes again! Shoaib danced down the track and Nabi dragged back the length slightly while giving a touch more flight too. Shoaib was nowhere near the pitch of the ball but continued the shot anyway, gets under it way too much and Najibullah makes up for a sloppy drop earlier in the innings with a safe take five yards in from the rope at cow corner. 203/5
40.3 Lovely comeback ball by Rashid after the first ball boundary to get the captain! Good length on off dragging back slightly from the first ball sweep, Sarfaraz with a lazy poke forward and an even more casual drag of his back foot out of the crease. Shahzad collects cleanly to whip off the bails. He fluffed a stumping earlier off Nabi in the innings but this time made no mistake. The missed runout by Aftab doesn't bite Afghanistan much in the end. 220/6
47.5 lazy cricket by Imad. Wahab guided a wide yorker out to Aftab at short third man. Imad should've been going hard to get back on strike. Instead he gently slides his bat toward the line, in a manner that someone would turn for a second rather than haring for a sharp single. The alligator-armed stretch costs him as Aftab's throw pings the stumps. 262/10
46.2 Six and out for Hasan. Brilliant effort by Rahmat Shah at long-off! Full on the stumps, goes to repeat the drive for six he struck on the previous ball he faced from Dawlat. Rahmat settles on the rope and reaches back across his body to the right for an over-the-shoulder take. There's slight doubt if his ankle/shin was in contact with the rope at all but looks okay from the third umpire. Rahmat caught, kept his balance then flicked the ball back in the air as he stepped over the rope before reestablishing himself back inside the rope for the completed toss back to himself. Super stuff. 253/8
47.1 full on the stumps, Shadab skies a drive high over midwicket in the ring. Basic catch for Shenwari. Dawlat goes to take his sunglasses back from the umpire thinking it's the 10th wicket. Not so fast Dawlat! But the missed runout doesn't really cost Afghanistan after all. 259/9

11.1 taken at midwicket! Beautiful composure from Malik, because this ball is swirling, caught in the wind, always going away from him. But the experienced man that he is, he keeps his eyes on the ball, moves calmly to his left and takes it with both hands. Hazrat goes for a very entertaining 49 and Shadab - the man who was laid low by illness while Pakistan were being hammered all over the place by England - strikes with his first ball back. This kid is magic. Tosses it up on off stump, getting it to turn, the big hit comes, but it's not big enough 80/1
19.5 Wahab snares one with his worst ball of the over!Short and going well down the leg side, Rahmat goes for the pull and there's a huge noise on the way through to Sarfaraz. Looked like it was more glove than bat. Either way, clear connection taken easily by Sarfaraz and Rahmat is walking back. 119/2

30.5 picks out Shadab at extra cover in the ring. Aside from the flurry of sweeps to Shadab last over, Shinwari largely struggled against the spin. Imad bags him with a fullish length ball, not nearly full enough to drive, and Shinwari is through the shot early shoveling it in the air toward Shadab, who takes a sharp catch at head height with a bunny hop to intercept the flat drive. 168/3
32.5 Afghan never looked comfortable. After the edge that was left begging in the previous over with no slip in place for Amir, Imad darts in a flatter and fuller ball to beat Afghan's charge. The ex-captain essentially yorked himself. Middle stump knocked back. 178/4
46.2 caught behind! With 19 runs to get, Nabi falls to the slower ball. He's making room to lift it over the covers. But the lack of pace - along with the line, which is well outside off - makes him panic. He knows he's too far from the ball and instincts kick in, making him lose shape and hit the ball as hard as he could. All that means he can only get a thick edge to the keeper 244/5
47.2 reverse swinging yorker FTW! Wahab goes peak Wahab, the left hand slinging it down from well wide of the crease from that scary place round the wicket. Naib's too slow to bring his bat down. He's well beaten by the ball swinging away in the air. And the ball crashes into off stump and creates the most glorious music 247/6
47.5 plumb lbw says the ump but we have a review. This is another reverese swinging yorker that becomes a low full toss. It's way too quick for the new batsman, who's stuck in his crease, who's falling over on the off side as he tries to flick. Ball tracking says impact in line, wickets hitting umpire's call and that's that. 249/7
