They looked like getting a lot more when Babar launched the innings with a flurry of boundaries, but Pakistan were unable to forge a really damaging partnership. Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Rizwan put together 42, but once they were parted, South Africa had a window back into the game. Shoaib fell in that farcical run-out, and no-one was able to score more than Rizwan's 26 as Beuran Hendricks starred with a career-best 4 for 14.
