3.05 pm A total of 222 isn't imposing, but it can be made so if Sri Lanka's spinners can be accurate enough. Most of the trouble off this Mirpur pitch has happened when Taijul and Razzak slowed down their pace, concentrated on putting as many revs on the ball as possible, and keeping the length in between full and short.

Considering that, Roshen Silva has played a superb innings. He didn't try to hit the spinners out of shape like Kusal Mendis did and chose instead to back his defence, playing inside the line of the ball meant to turn away from him and accepting it when he was beaten. Additionally, his ability to play with soft hands, and splendid wristwork to get singles and twos were impressive.

Bangladesh would want to get through to 30-35 overs without too many wickets lost, that's when the ball becomes old enough that batting becomes a tiny bit - just a tiny bit - easier. And here's Akshay to entertain you all until then
