First the good news: The Renegades batted out their 20 overs. The bad news: they simply don't have enough runs to defend. The Strikers have been ruthless all evening. Wickets at regular intervals, bowlers constantly at the throat of the batters, and fielders prowling around (mostly) as if their life depends on it. All of it has meant the Strikers need a mere 84 to waltz into the finale with Perth Scorchers waiting.

If it was Amanda-Jade Wellington who cast a spell over the opponents last night, Megan Schutt and Darcie Brown set it up nicely for the rest of the bowling unit tonight. It could've been a lot worse at 7 for 47, but they've managed to play out the overs thanks to Ella Hayward's 18 not out, the highest score of the innings.
