4.04pm Abject, abysmal batting performance from Sri Lanka. In international cricket, there is bound to be quality, there will be good swing bowling, but Sri Lanka have had no answers to that movement. Usman Khan took five wickets in his first 21 balls with late swing to finish another terrible Sri Lanka effort. He found lateral movement, coming back in to the left-hander, but to be honest, he had that in the last game too. Sri Lanka were not equipped to deal with it. And were made to pay, slumping to 103 all out in the 27th over.

Pakistan, though, were terrific again. Nothing to be taken away from that performance. It was special, their bowling accurate, the fielding good and they did what they had to, led by Usman's five-for.

The Pakistan reply isn't far away.

Hasan Ali to Chameera, OUT, all done! Dusted! SL bowled out for 103. Shortish delivery outside off, Chameera goes back, tries to flick the ball into the leg side, the ball takes the inside edge and knocks into the stumps to end the innings.

Usman Shinwari to Chameera, 2 runs, another slower delivery on leg, flicked into the gap at midwicket. Don't think there should have been two there, but Hasan picks up, throws the ball towards the bowler's end and misses. Out if he hit direct

  • Sri Lanka suffer 12th straight defeat

All the statistical peaks Pakistan scaled and the statistical troughs Sri Lanka plumbed during the fifth ODI in Sharjah

  • Twenty-one balls of deja vu

Until today, Usman Khan was best known for a destructive spell of pace and movement in a domestic T20 final. He has now bowled an eerily similar spell in international cricket, and given Pakistan a sweet selection headache when all their pace options are

  • Pakistan complete 5-0 after Usman bags five in 21 balls

A devastating new-ball spell from Pakistan's latest left-arm sensation sent Sri Lanka spiralling to 103 all out and the ignominy of their third 5-0 ODI whitewash of the year

  • Can Sri Lanka avoid another whitewash?

Sri Lanka have been at the wrong end of 5-0 scorelines twice this year, against South Africa and India. Can they find a way to evade the same fate against Pakistan?

Usman on fire

No. of balls taken by Usman Khan to complete a five-for in this game, the third-quickest in ODIs since 2001. Vaas had taken it in 16 balls v Ban in 2003 WC and Van der Gugten in 20 balls v Can in 2013.

Another whitewash?

No. of whitewashes suffered by Sri Lanka in ODIs this year, to SA and Ind, before this series. If they don't win this game, they'll become the first ever team to lose three bilateral series by 5-0 margin in same year.
