9:25pm And that is all! Thanks for joining us and - if you're still around - hanging on for the presentation. We'll meet you next at the Cardiff game. Have a good night!
Kuldeep: My first tour in England, things are going very well. Perfect conditions. It felt like home conditions. The wicket was dry, good to bat on. When I bowled my first over, I felt like it would turn. It's important if you're bowling the wrong'un, it should be in the perfect area. We've got two legends (Virat and MS) and they're very supportive. It's just the start of my first tour in England. Hopefully in the next match we'll do the same thing.
Kohli: I think just looking at all three skillsets, it gave me a lot of pleasure to watch how we did. We wanted to try out new guys, that's why KL went 3 and I went 4. To bring the game back from their flier was all because of Kuldeep's one over. He is a wristspinner, he's going to be effective on any surface. When you have variations to turn it away from your or into you. his wrong'un hasn't been easy to pick so far. I hope he can work on that skill and keep the batsmen guessing.
I felt that we very quite lucky and got away with England getting 30-40 runs short. It was always going to be in our favour after that. unbelievable innings. He's come a long way - so clean and so crisp. We want guys like him to step up to make the batting even stronger so we have flexibility for the others. He's got a great shape, great technique, great temparament. He's bery hungry. Today was empoitonal: his last hundred was against England in Chennai in a Test.
We haven't changed much. I dropped to 4, one spot. It allows me to control the middle. To have KL to play freely in the Powerplay knowing there are seniors in the middle, that's the kinf of freedom we want to give these guys.
Morgan: Thouroughly deserved for India. The conditions were pretty good. They fought back really well. Taking three wickets in an over really set us back. Probably cost us 30-40 runs. [Kuldeep]'s a very good bowler, he's obviously going to be a big threat. Everything seemed to happen very quickly. Something we'll assess between games.
When the wicket is that good, you've got to take positive options. When the boundary is short and the wind is blowing into it, we've got to do better. If we'd taken the half chance, we'd have been in the game. I think today was a game of margins for our spinners. KL chipped one over the boundary and Jordan couldn't take it. If he had, that might have put the pressure on them.
9:12pm A presentation has happened, the broadcaster hasn't showed it yet. But we have learnt that Kuldeep Yadav is the Man of the Match.
If you thought your night was done, think again. A late Colombia equalizer has just forced extra-time at the World Cup. Can England recover? Head over to ESPN.in to find out (India only).
8:53pm A big hug for KL Rahul from his captain. A stunning start to his time in England. It's his first time in the country with the senior team. He won't forget this. He's been carrying this form for three months now, and he batted today like he'd been in there for three months. Flawless. That was what it was.
It all came on the back of another world-class performance earlier - a five-for for Kuldeep Yadav to catch England at least 30 runs short of after the start Jos Buttler had given them. India have first blood.
END OF OVER:18 | 10 Runs | IND: 156/2 (4 runs required from 12 balls, RR: 8.66, RRR: 2.00)
- KL Rahul100 (53b)
- Virat Kohli14 (21b)
