3:25pm Here's Gabriel.

Greg Willson: "Murphy Su'a an allrounder? Don't think so! Larsen or Harris would be a better example. "

Randy: "Seeing as this is the international stage, and with the shellacking Fletcher gave him, I hope Kesrick doesn't take out the notebook tonight."

The Goat: "Will be interesting to see how the batting lineup performs today. On paper it looks as though we need some more all rounders. Guys like Murphy Su'a and Rod Latham brought so much to the team back in the day"

Jonnyburgers: "Interesting that Todd Astle was once a mediocre opening batsman who decided to concentrate on spin bowling. The exact opposite of Mark Richardson. "

2.45 pm Some decisions not going West Indies' way but the visitors will be pleased on eventually reaching 248. It was all courtesy Evin Lewis' 76 and a 50-ball 59 from Rovman Powell lower down that took them near 250. Gayle and Hetmyer got starts at the top, but the WI batting succumbed to the attack of debutant Todd Astle, Lockie Ferguson and Doug Bracewell. The pitch does have something on offer for the bowlers, and the WI attack will have to extract everything they can if they wish to make a match out of this. Should be an interesting chase, which will be kicked off by Varun Shetty when we return.

Bracewell to Williams, 2 runs, overpitched full on off stump, dug away past point for some more runs and West Indies finish on 248 for 9!

Bracewell to Powell, OUT, carved inside out over cover and it looks like it's going for a six.. but no! Kane Williamson covers a lot of ground to run towards deep extra cover (from long off) and takes a sharp jumping catch on the run. Powell's useful innings has to end. Looked like a boundary off the bat but KW did extremely well.

Bracewell to Powell, SIX, full and wide outside off, Powell gets under the ball in a flash and smashes this over long off's head. Great sound off the bat

Hutcho: "@Blake it's the 2nd match and the first one was against Zimbabwe. Sample sizes Blake, sample sizes"

Steve Bowkett: "Rovman Powell has actually made this a match!! Great stuff."

Bracewell to Williams, no run, full ball outside off, charges down the wicket and tries to slog back past the bowler, but the ball flies past his outside edge to Latham

Bracewell to Williams, no run, short and wide outside off, way too short and the umpire does not think it's a wide. Williams had backed away to play the upper cut over the keeper but can't get bat to ball. Tough decision

Has Rovman Powell's innings given West Indies something to bowl to? Let's see how much more WI can add to their total. The final six balls of the innings to be delivered by Bracewell, who has gone for over 6.6 today.

Boult to Williams, 1 run, yorker on leg stump to end the over, dug away to mid off and they race off for a single

2
Boult to Williams, 2 runs, back of a length on middle and angling past the batsman. Tries to play a late dab but plays it too fine instead, just past the outstretched gloves of the keeper. It came off the batsman's gloves as well

Blake: "231 is the lowest ODI score ever at this ground. " -- Powell's blows have ensured WI don't finish below that

Boult to Powell, 1 run, low full toss wide outside off, drags his slog towards the fielder at cow corner this time
48.3

Boult to Powell, FOUR, overpitched full outside off, sliced over point's head and this is trickling away for four more! Powell's maiden fifty!
48.2
6
Boult to Powell, SIX, just over the ropes for six more! Low full toss because of the attempted yorker that goes all wrong. Front foot moved towards the leg side, bends his knee to get under the ball and muscles this over Boult

Boult to Powell, SIX, Deep midwicket almost takes a one-hander, but it's a maximum! Short outside off and this time Powell's pull connects. Off the middle of the bat, and while Henry sticks his hand out in the deep, the ball just does not stay in his palm
