Suyash Sharma: "[After the powerplay] the captain just asked us to execute our plans. We were giving a lot of room to the batters. My ball comes in, and hence I wanted a leg slip. It was executed well in the end. There was help from the wicket right from the beginning, but you need to execute."

7.04pm Oman were 52 for 1 after the powerplay, but were restricted to only 83 runs in the next 14 overs. Once the field spread and the India A spinners slowed the hosts down, there didn't seem to be a way back. Suyash Sharma was the standout bowler with 2 for 12 in four overs, but Gurjapneet's execution in the death overs played a big role in limiting Oman too. Mirza gave Oman a flying start, and Wasim's patient 54* kept them floating, but 136 might not prove to be too much for India A. Join Abhijato for the chase soon.

Gurjapneet Singh to Shafiq Jan, 1 run, superb bowling!! A yorker bang on off, and hoicked to deep midwicket
19.5
4
Gurjapneet Singh to Shafiq Jan, FOUR, another attempted yorker, but this one is a four. It is nearly a yorker on off, and Shafiq heaves it to wide long-on

Shafiq is the new batter.

Gurjapneet Singh to Muzahir Raza, OUT, bowled him!! Raza falls as Gurjap nails another yorker. The ball was angling in, and struck the side of the base of the middle stump as Raza made room to try and launch it through the off side. The tight length and the inswing meant Raza hardly had any room there

Muzahir Raza b Gurjapneet Singh 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0

From around now.

Gurjapneet Singh to Muzahir Raza, no run, lovely stuff from Gurjap. He has done well in the death overs. He angles this across, and lands a yorker just outside off. Raza looks to jam at it but misses

Raza.

Gurjapneet Singh to Sufyan Mehmood, OUT, a mild appeal for caught behind... and given out. There was hardly any celebration or reaction from India there. Gurjap banged the ball short just outside off, and extracted good bounce off the surface. Sufiyan had backed away a little, and looked to pull. But the extra bounce meant it took the top edge, and went into Jitesh's gloves

Sufyan Mehmood c †JM Sharma b Gurjapneet Singh 8 (14b 1x4 0x6) SR: 57.14

1
Gurjapneet Singh to Wasim Ali, 1 run, well bowled. Gurjap keeps swinging it in, and lands another low full toss on middle and leg. Swung away to deep midwicket by Wasim

Can Oman touch 140? Six balls left in the innings, and they need another 11 runs for that.

Gurjapneet Singh to Wasim Ali, 1 run, good ball. Gurjap bowls a yorker on the stumps, and Wasim, backing away, squeezes it back to the bowler's left. But it's hit too hard for Gurjap to grab, and the ball dribbles away towards midwicket
