2.3 oh, what have you done, Farhan?! Leg-stump half-volley and Farhan could have hit that anywhere, including onto the highway overlooking the stadium. Instead, he tries to glance it fine and all he does is find Mujeeb at short fine leg to absolute perfection. Definitely not the best ball Omarzai will ever bowl, but it has given him and Afghanistan they breakthrough they would have wanted! 26/1
6.5 holes out to sweeper cover, and Rashid is the man again for Afghanistan! Seems like a top-spinner, pitching on a back of a length in and around off stump. Ayub backs away, trying to go inside out but does not get over it completely. Does not get under it enough either, and slices it straight down Fareed's throat. Rashid has his arms aloft, and both Pakistan openers are now back in the shed! 55/2
7.3 no luck this time for Fakhar, and Nabi has the last laugh! Fired in quicker and flatter on middle and leg. Fakhar looks to repeat the dose but probably gets too close to the ball. Not as much room to free his arms either, and he arrows it straight to Ibrahim Zadran at long on. Nabi is pumped; Pakistan, in a spot of bother! 63/3

11.1 touches the moon and comes down, and into Atal's palms! Back of a length just outside off. Nawaz stands tall and looks to pop this over long on. Gets it off the bottom half of the bat, though, meaning that he does not generate the power to clear the fence. Atal settles under it at long on and makes no mistake, much to the delight of the Afghan supporters at the ground! 83/4
15.4 catch it is the cry, and that is exactly what Rasooli does! Zipped in on a back of a length on the stumps. Nawaz looks for the slog but has to reach out in front due to the shorter nature of the length. Tugs at it and does not muster the power he wants. Rasooli, stationed at deep mid wicket, gobbles it up, and Nawaz is distraught as he walks back! 136/5
19.2 skied, and taken at deep mid wicket! Hard length on middle and leg. Haris has no option but to swing at it (not that he has been doing anything different since walking in). Does not come to grips with the slower one, though, and he only gets the height he wants, and not the distance. Atal settles under it at deep mid wicket and completes the catch! 167/6
19.6 chaos all over, and a run-out to finish the innings! Off-pace and into the track on middle and leg. Faheem winds up and heaves it towards deep square leg. The sweeper saves the boundary and hurls a throw at the keeper's end. Agha wanted to see if he could pinch a third, but Faheem has to sacrifice his not-out status at the other end for it. Not that he will mind, and this is a very good total for Pakistan! 182/7

7.6 bowled'im round his legs, and Nawaz is over the moon! Fired in very full on middle stump. Gurbaz shows his hand too early and moves across. Cannot access the ball, mostly because the ball is very full and because he is so far outside the line. Misses the ball completely and it thunders into middle stump. Gurbaz trudges off, and that is a big moment in this game! 68/2
2.6 middle stump knocked back, and that is vintage Shaheen Shah Afridi! Into the blockhole and swinging in devilishly. Ibrahim does not track the swing and does not quite read the length either. Too hot to handle for him, and the ball cannons off his back boot into the stumps. Shaheen does his usual celebration, and Pakistan have something to show for their tidy start! 17/1
11.3 does him all ends up, and Rauf breaks this game open! Yet another slower ball on a length outside off, and Atal, like the two balls earlier in the over, does not pick this either. Deceived totally and reaching out, meaning that he only slices it tamely. Shaheen runs in off the deep third fence and does the rest! 93/3
12.1 what a catch that is, and Pakistan are going for the jugular now! Floated up full just outside off. Rasooli's eyes light up and he plants his front foot to blast it down the ground. Gets a good chunk of it too but hits it aerially and in the bowler's general direction. Muqeem gets both of his hands up to his left and makes a very, very sharp chance stick. Afghanistan in a real spot of bother now! 93/5
11.6 smashed straight to deep square leg! And this has been done with a flourish, which makes the dismissal even more dramatic. On a fullish length on middle and off. Janat does his best Rishabh Pant impression and with his feet stuck to the turf, whips it away. Hits it well, but also hits it flat to to Hasan Nawaz, who did not have to move an inch to snare that. Rauf with a double-wicket maiden, and Pakistan on the charge now! 93/4
13.3 stumped by a country mile, and Afghanistan are imploding! Pulls the length back outside off and gives this plenty of revs. Omarzai, pre-meditating the charge, goes through with it but is nowhere close to the ball. The ball, because of the revs, dips on him late and then grips in the surface to spin away. Omarzai mows at it wildly and Haris does the rest behind the stumps! 95/6
14.1 holes out to long off, and Muqeem has two! Dangles the carrot outside off and Nabi bites. To be fair to him, it was there to be bitten. He gets under it, but does not get under it enough. Arrows it flat towards Faheem at long off, who tracks the ball all the way and then takes it over his head, while also maintaining his balance and ensuring he does not step onto the rope. Pakistan have turned it up a notch, and Afghanistan are being blown away! 97/7
17.6 Rauf gets the better of Rashid, and that might be the game! Rashid was always going to go after this, and Rauf does well to take all the pace off and make Rashid fetch it. He has to do so from outside off and the lack of pace means he cannot time it as well as he would have liked. Shanks it straight to deep backward square leg, and Rashid's valiant knock comes to an end, much to Pakistan's relief! 141/8
18.1 stumps shattered, and Shaheen has his second as well! Slanted in on a length just outside off. The ball keeps coming back in with the angle from around the wicket and Mujeeb, looking to smear this over, seems to get an inside edge, with the ball then thudding into the stumps. Mujeeb walks back, and Afghanistan are now nine down! 141/9
19.5 miscued, and taken! Rauf lands the final punch, and Pakistan coast to a 39-run win! Slower ball dug into the track just outside off. Fareed continues swinging because, well, why not. Fairly early into this stroke too and he drags it off the bottom part of the bat towards mid wicket, who takes a few paces to his left and finishes the job! 143/10
