Sri Lanka's target will be 210, and they will have 47 overs to get there.

7:15pm An innings of three phases really. In the first, Sri Lanka dried the runs up and put New Zealand under scoring pressure, which eventually led to wickets. Then, Chapman and Hay got together and resurrected the innings, with their 75-run partnership making the Kiwis dream of a score of around 250. But then, Chapman fell and that triggered a collapse, with NZ losing their last six wickets for 36, despite Hay waging a lone battle until being the last batter to be dismissed.

Sri Lanka, meanwhile, will be happy with their efforts. Theekshana and Vandersay were the pick of the bowlers, bagging three apiece. Asitha popped up with Chapman's wicket, which was crucial. Wellalage and Asalanka also got themselves on the board. A special mention also to Sri Lanka's catching, which was, at times, breath-taking, with Avishka, in particular, pulling off two sensational grabs. They will be confident of chasing this down, but with the pitch offering turn, NZ will feel they have something to bowl at too. Madushka will be back in a bit for the chase!

Sadeera Samarawickrama: (On their fielding) Pretty good day for our fielding side today. It is a tough day, there is dew and everything on the ground. Everyone has been working hard and that shows in the middle now. I am enjoying my fielding, wherever we play. Credit goes to the staff as well, it (the fielding) is a team effort. (On Upul Chandana as a fielding coach) We all know how good he was when he was playing. He gave us some good tips. He wants us to stop 15-20 runs in a game. Really happy about the performance of everyone tonight.

Theekshana to Hay, OUT, Kusal Mendis goes up, as does Theekshana but Langton Rusere's finger doesn't. Sri Lanka review! Fired in full outside off. Hay, struggling with cramp, opts for an option behind the wicket. Shapes for the reverse and seems to graze the turf. The hosts' contention, though, is that the ball also caught a bit of the bat face. Hay does not look very confident, it must be said. The ball has not hit the bat, but there is a clear spike when the ball is next to the glove. Maybe that was why Hay's body language portrayed resignation. Decision overturned, and Hay falls a run short of his maiden ODI fifty. New Zealand, meanwhile, bowled out for 209!
