15.5 backs away again, and Alzarri rattles the stumps with a yorker. He expected the batter would try to repeat the shot, and bowled a delivery that Nissanka just could not get his bat underneath. 127/3
9.6 Kusal finally goes! This was a good length on the stumps and Kusal looks to loft this drive on the up over long-on, but he just can't find the power. Long-on holds on 77/1
13.4 given out! That looks like it will crash into the stumps, but the batter reviews. This is fast, and angled in from around the wicket to the leftie. KJP tries to hit it with the angle and aims a huuuge hoick across the line. He misses and the ball thuds into the back pad. Perhaps he thought it hit him outside off, because there's no way that's missing the stumps. Yep, hitting the middle of middle. KJP's innings is a cameo 111/2
19.3 caught beautifully by Sherfane Rutherford at deep square leg. This was a slower ball that Kamindu hacked into the aerially, looking for that six. But he doesn't get enough power into it, and Rutherford holds it above his head as he runs hard to his left. Did well to get both hands to it 156/5
17.5 slower one, angled into off stump from around the wicket, Asalanka badly misjudges the pace of the ball, is way too early through the shot, and has his off stump pinged. 141/4

2.6 This time there's no saving King! Charges down the track but Wellalage spots him and drags it shorter. The sharp turn does the rest as King is stranded almost a third of the way down the track. So far down in fact that Kusal has time to stutter before whipping off the bails. First T20I wicket for Wellalage 12/1
3.4 Huge appeal and the finger goes up! West Indies review though. This was darted in quick and full, on leg. But it's the offbreak, so it pitches and straightens as Lewis misses the sweep and is struck low on the front pad. Question is, was there bate? And if not, is this straightening enough? No bat involved, and yes it does straighten to hit the middle of leg! Sri Lanka have sent back both openers 14/2
6.5 And now the dam breaks! The pressure had to tell and Fletcher tries to get out of jail with a sweep. But it goes off the top edge and a bit of the pad as it pops up over him and the keeper, but straight to the back pedalling Kamindu at slip 22/4
4.4 This one carries though! Tossed up on middle and off, induces the drive and with it a thick outside edge that flies to slip. Comfortable take at chest height. It was the late dip that did Chase in here, as he wasn't quite to the pitch to drive it 17/3
9.5 Asalanka is having a ball! Too full to go back this one as it pitches on off and straightens. Looks to defend and it turns enough to go past the outside edge and clatter into the off stump 39/6
9.2 Motie plays all around it! Skips down the track but this one is slower through the air. No turn either as Motie is beaten on the inside edge, clatters into the stumps 38/5
15.1 this is what fast bowling can do. This is a bouncer into the ribs, which Powell tries to help around the corner, but he's rushed into the shot, and only gets and edge to, which Kusal Mendis does very well to get to, diving across to his left. Pathirana has removed West Indies' captain, and Sri Lanka are on the brink of a big win 83/9
10.1 that's another one. A googly, that stayed low, and which Shepherd didn't get close to as he tries to work it away to leg off the back foot. Hasaranga celebrappeals and the umpire obliges with a raised finger. It looked pretty plumb, but Shepherd has reviewed. Suspect that's crashing into middle and leg, about halfway up. Yep, very, very out. 40/7
12.5 another bad ball, but Springer has messed up this time. This was even juicier if anything - a knee-high ball from a leggie. Springer attempts the same shot and probably should have deposited it on to the grass banks. Ends up top edging it to Wellalage at deep midwicket instead, who settles safely beneath it. 60/8
16.1 that's it. All over. This was a carrom ball I think. Slowed up, pitched on middle, straightened off the track. Alzarri tried to clip it to leg, but it turned and hit his middle stump instead. 89/10
