So as it stands, West Indies are currently 1-0 up in the three-match series. Bangladesh continue to search for that elusive first ODI victory of the year, and now they will need to win these last two games if they want to take the series. The promise they showed in patches will lend an interesting hue to the next game, which takes place in Grenada as well on August 22. We hope you will join us then. For now, this is Rohan Sharma, on behalf of the scorer Sanjay Murari and fellow commentator George Binoy, saying good night and good luck!

Dwayne Bravo, West Indies captain: I think it was a great team effort. Ramdin and Pollard was one of the better innings I have seen both play. Lot of room for improvement, especially after the shaky start. It is good to see two of our top five batsmen can score the big runs and then Holder took us home. I expected a lot more this morning with the newer ball, but the wicket was quite low. I am very happy with the total the guys kept the Bangladesh team to, but we all still need to dig deeper and not depend on the lower order to help us win matches. Our bowlers more often than not deliver for us, so it is time for the batsmen to do so as well. We want to play aggressive, fearless cricket. We have some important players in our setup, like Gayle and Pollard, and the management back them no matter what the situation. The style and brand we are looking for is to get back into the old-time days.

Mushfiqur Rahim, Bangladesh captain: We were 20-25 runs short. The batsmen kept getting out. Anamul batted well but there was no one supporting him. They didn't play their best innings. Our bowlers did a great job at the front, taking those five wickets, but we were unable to keep the pressure. We gave away too many loose balls after that, so there were some positives to take, but we have to play our best game to win here. It is not impossible to win here, but we have to do the right things, and not only in a short space of time, but we need to do it over a longer period.

Keiron Pollard, Man of the Match: Last couple of innings in CPL I have been striking the ball well. Thank god I had the opportunity with 34 for 5. Ramdin and I were able to pull it off but at the end of the day the bowlers restricted them to 217. The pressure was definitely there, and you had to choose the balls and play each ball on its merit. No one needs to tell me that but I hope to keep doing that going forward. Very disappointed with getting out, especially after getting our team to that position. We disappointed the team in that aspect, but thankfully Holder brought the team home, and we can learn from this in future.

The match presentation is just about to kick off. Quotes to follow. Pollard is Man of the Match.

Rags: "Never thought will say it, but Gayle looks like the weakest link in this WI team"

We will be back shortly with quotes from the match presentation

Let us not forget Anamul Haque's special effort in the first innings, when his 109 helped Bangladesh to a reasonable 217 for 9. Al-Amin Hossain was the pick of their bowlers, taking 4 for 51, but it just wasn't enough for Bangladesh, whose wait for a first ODI victory of the year continues, at least for another couple days.

Bangladesh were very disciplined early on with their lengths, but once Ramdin and Pollard came together, it seemed as though they took their foot off the accelerator a little, allowing the West Indies back into the match.

And there you have it. After being reduced to 34 for 5, the West Indies, through a match-turning 145-run partnership for the sixth wicket between Denesh Ramdin and Keiron Pollard, made it possible for them to achieve this unlikely victory.

Mike BACHAN: "Was Pollard trying to win it in 40 overs.I hope they don't lose this match. Then he would look very silly going for a shot like that to get caught. He should have learned by now there is no extra points if you win it in less overs. This is not the IPL."
